Ultrasound are basically sound waves that are used for the preservation of Food. EVERYTHING of food is preserved by this method like texture, flavor, nutrients. Ultrasound is a novel technique. As i discussed earlier novel techniques are developed gor the purpose of food preservation with no or very less harm to food and its nutrients.
Ultrasound are sound waves, type of energy that is transferred to food with different methods. Due to high energy food components gets excited and kills microbes with no effect to food. Ultrasound is also known as sonication. When we study the effect of ultrasound or sound waves energy on food in chemistry, then it is known as Sonochemistry.
