This is a vegan meal (I will be using my rice cooker) but anyone is welcome to check it out and try it. Prep time was about 10 minutes, cook time was about 30-40 minutes.

Let's start out with the ingredients I used, I will show them in photos:

Jasmine rice will be part of our "base"

Lentils will also form part of the base

I'm also throwing in a handful of veggie rotini

IMG_1881.JPG

Oriental Style Veggies (will use the sauce included)

IMG_1883.JPG

Mrs. Dash Chicken No Salt Seasoning (no chicken, it's used to season chicken)

This is where my homestead comes in. I'm using one pad of home-grown prickly pear cactus.

IMG_1876.JPG

Handful of Katuk Leaves

IMG_1877.JPG

Chaya aka Tree Spinach! (Must be boiled)

IMG_1878.JPG

Handful of Moringa Leaves

IMG_1884.JPG

Last ingredient is the sauce. Comes with the frozen vegetables

Only ingredients are soy and wheat. Actually very tasty!

Here it is in rice cooker

I love using this rice cooker because you literally throw everything into it with water, plug it in, and it does the rest! I got mine at Kohl's like 3-4 years ago for $20!! Still works perfectly. I consider it a great investment.

Do you have/use a rice cooker? Do you ever use your home grown plants in your recipes? I hope so! Thanks for stopping by Steemians!

One of my goals in life is to get as many people as I can to start growing their own food!

That looks delicious, and obviously very healthy!

Thank you @rhino! Yeah it's pretty healthy!

Baby could you please answer your phone?

I haven't gotten any calls babe.

Looks delicious! I love to walk out into my garden and pick whatever is in season and put it in my food! Right now I am waiting for the strawberries to ripen, I hope that the slugs and birds don't get to them first...

Thank you! Yes, it's such a great feeling being able to do that! I hope they don't get them either! I would recommend netting, but for me that would be too much work lol Thank you so much for resteeming man. that helps me out so much!

The birds are actually manageable, it's the slugs that are killing me... Or rather I kill them at sight! 😈 An ordinary walk around my garden usually nets 20-30 of them, my record in 24h is over 1000...

Looks delicious! @jbcoin

Thank you!

You have a beautiful garden indeed. Thanks for detailing how you prepared this meal.
