Poulet aux Pruneaux

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup dried plums, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until lightly browned on both sides.

  2. Add onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Add cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Add broth, orange juice, honey, and prunes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. In a small bowl, mix together cornstarch and cold water. Pour into skillet and stir until sauce is thickened.

  6. Serve over cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy!
