Corn is very sweet, lots of sugar, so I have big doubts about that. Also it is hard to digest. With us people rice does not fill the stomach at all. After 1 hour you already feel hungry again. Rice is way more healthy as grain, wheat and potatoes. So perhaps you should eat less rice and more meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables and you will do fine (although fruit is full of sugar as well).
