EZ-PZ Homemade Smoked BBQ Beef Jerky: PART1

in food •  7 years ago  (edited)

Making some Smoked BBQ beef jerky w good ol ground beef and a grill. I mixed the beef w salt pepper and granulated garlic. Then i flattened it on a cutting board w my hands. I cut it fairly large to make it easier to handle and did a few odd shape ones as well. Next i placed directly on the grill and brazed with some bbq sauce. The bbq sauce is slightly watered down so it smokes in the beef nicely. Finally i have the temp set right around 160*. All with no jerky gun and no dehydrater :). These babys will be smoking anywhere from 3 to 8hrs. Stay tuned for PART 2 for the finished product. Injoy

Beef Jerky

I dont always feel hungry but when i do, BEEF JERKY :P

OH YA!!

My brother makes killer Duck jerky. Might sound odd but it is dang good!!

Sounds good :) we do some odd stuff here too ;). Ive done turkey & chicken but no ducks yet... its now on the list lol. What flavor does he do?

He grows his own peppers and dried them out, then grinds them in a coffee grinder. Not sure about all the other ingredients but all I know is he doesn’t use any sort of recipe. He just throws random stuff into his marinade. Then sprinkles the dried peppers on top before he smokes.
