Today's my birthday! I'm older than I was yesterday. I don't expect there to be any candles in my day today. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Like a moth, I am attracted to flame.

It was @jedau's birthday recently. Lots of birthdays in late August. Is that because Late Fall is the sexiest time of year?
Is it because new seasons of TV are hot?
Is it because leaves changing color makes us think of starting families?
Is it because the mail carriers are too warm to work in early August, and so storks pick up the mail slack and are overworked in mid-August, so they finally start to clear their baby delivering backlog in late August?
Is it because significance bias means that I just notice birthdays that are near mine? I mean, c'mon though, Macauley Culkin AND Mother Theresa? There has to be more to it than just noticing more!
