You're Probably Wondering Where My Post Is Today

You know what! LOL! Hahaha! Okay, I'm calm now. A few years ago I was standing outside of a bar, having a cigarette. A woman approached me, smiled, and asked for a cigarette. I said I only had one left, and it was true, I only had one left. She smiled and said, "ΜΑΛΑΚΑ," then walked away. This entire time, I thought she was just saying, "Okay."

As for the gypsum, I'm not sure. I try not to eat too many sweets anyway...

Ahahaha! Next time be prepared to answer back ΜΑΛΑΚΙΣΜΕΝΗ (malakismEni-that's a female variation) or ΜΑΛΑΚΙΣΜΕΝΕ (malakismEne-for males) :P

It feels so nice being an ambassador of my culture around here

But if I did that, then she might start yelling entire sentences that I don't understand while I stand there smiling and nodding like an idiot. How do you say, "Please be quiet." LOL

Hmm, you got a point. In that case you can either say ΤΗΣ ΜΑΝΑΣ ΣΟΥ (tis mAnas sou-your mother's), ΕΙΜΑΙ ΑΣΤΥΝΟΜΙΚΟΣ (Ime astinomikOs-i'm a cop) or ΗΡΕΜΗΣΕ, ΠΑΡΑΚΑΛΩ (irEmise parakalO-calm down, please)

I like the last one. Impersonating a police officer is typically frowned upon where I come from. I might be a bit crude and rude in some of my blog posts... but in life, I'm usually quite relaxed and polite, "normal" I guess. I do have my moments though. Μη μου φωνάζεις. Η μητέρα μου είναι αστυνομικός.

Time to go to work. Να εχεις μια ωραια μερα.

I know, I was just joking around. In real life I keep my foul language to myself as well.

Worktime here too. Have a good day yourself :)

That's sounds like the typical response you would get from the average greek. She probably thought you were cheap and you were lying, hence Malakas. 😂😂🤣🤣

I had to check to make sure you were Greek before I said anything. I was thinking, only a Greek or a ΜΑΛΑΚΑ could say that. LOL

It's nothing. I've been called far worse things by your average Canadian.
