Actualmente el desarrollo de videojuegos es algo sencillo debido a diferentes aplicaciones que existen en la actualidad, sin embargo, hay una limitante y es el tamaño que ocupe este, si deseamos unos gráficos medianamente decentes o un sonido nítido el peso que puede llegar a alcanzar en nuestro disco duro puede ser algo grande.

Esto es algo que con el tiempo se fue generando, si vemos los videojuegos del pasado ocupaban 512 Kb, 4 Mb, 16 Mb entre otros tamaños, esto era debido a que tenían un limitante en los disquetes o los cartuchos, teniendo la necesidad de programar de manera muy meticulosa todo el contenido para que pudiera caber en dichos dispositivos.

Entre sus juegos hay varios que personalmente me llamaron la atención, uno fue Underrun el cual es un shooter en tercera persona que se ve muy bien a pesar de ser un juego que no pase de los 13 Kb, con efectos visuales muy buenos y una jugabilidad adictiva. Realmente me impresionó lo que pudo lograr su programador llamado Phoboslab con su creación.

Retrohaunt es otro videojuego interesante, tiene su toque artístico ya que juega mucho con los efectos poligonales, en él encontrarás una jugabilidad sencilla, pero con una dinámica entre lo misterioso y raro, lo que causa que sea muy adictiva. Al jugarlo estoy 100% de que no creerás que este juego no tenga 13 Kb de tamaño, pero esto lo puedes comprobar en la misma página ya que todos sus códigos fuentes están disponibles.

Es interesante como existen comunidades que aún quieren preservar la esencia de los juegos clásicos, donde nacía el arte de crear excelentes videojuegos, pero con poco espacio, es algo que personalmente me encanta ya que se puede apreciar al amor de los desarrolladores a los videojuegos por crear cosas tan pequeñas, pero a su vez fabulosas.
It's interesting how there are communities that still want to preserve the essence of classic games, where the art of creating great video games was born, but with little space, it's something that I personally love since you can appreciate the developers' love of video games for creating things that are so small, yet fabulous.

1 GB = 1024 MB
1 MB = 1024 kB
1 kB = 1024 Bytes
So 13 kB is a little over 1% of a MB.
