FoolCraft II - Reworking My Base & Starting Astral Sorcery

in gaming •  7 years ago

Hello everyone!

It's been awhile since I sat down and played some modded Minecraft, but I really wanted to relax yesterday, so I hopped on to do some stuff.

Last time I played, we squished a full sized cow into a tiny milk bottle to add to our kitchen, we opened some "lucky" blocks, found an astral shrine, and made friends with an owl.

I figured it was time to get rid of the tank that had spawned in my base, and turn the area into an actual room.

I went ahead and vein mined the unique blocks, which made quick work of clearing most of it. When I got to the body of the tank, I vein mined it, and you can only imagine my expression turning into one of instant regret. The body of the tank was made with stone monster egg blocks, and vein mining them caused them to all hatch at once.

Luckily, they do barely any damage, so I was able to kite them around and slowly kill them off a few at a time. I had to catch the ones burrowing into the stone in my base. I ran into one of these little guys later on when I was clearing out the room more. It scared the living hell out of me.

I made a little bit of progress, but I didn't want the room that you first see when entering the base, to look like plain cobble and dirt. I went to go look at my stock of wood and other blocks, and managed to turn it into something a little easier on the eyes. I love using the chisel on blocks.

I got instant memories of the cow that I squished into the milk bottle when I got a cow plushy drop from a loot bag. I made sure to place it right near the entrance.

After I was done touching that room up, I decided to finish my item enchantment area. I found out that putting rotten flesh on drying racks turns it into leather. Really smelly leather, but it allowed me to make the rest of the books I needed for my book cases.

Then, I started enchanting away. I had levels, and I had Lapis, which were pretty much the only things I needed. I got a couple of really nice enchants.

Enchanted pickaxe in hand, it was time to finally dig down to bedrock and see what new ores were there. I accidentally vein mined, and forgot how many blocks I could mine at a time with a decent pickaxe.

RIP my durability, but I found something exciting int he freshly mined area.

I finally got a rock crystal to begin Astral sorcery!

That brings us to the last part of my night. I filled a chest with all of my Astral sorcery related items, and headed off to that shrine that I had found last time.

I made sure it was night time, and I crafted a wand, and the Astral crafting table. It just so happened that there was enough starlight on top of the shrine, that I could place the crafting table there. Yes, Astral stuff runs on starlight!

I crafted my first item (a bucket to hold liquid starlight) and it made a dramatic heavenly sound, and a light beam flashed to the sky.

I crafted a couple more useful things, getting the dramatic beam of light every time, and then realized there was an owl sitting on my crafting table. I tried to shoo it away, but it kept coming back. It really wanted to be in my way.

I wonder, could it be the same owl from last time? Maybe I'll tame it and make it my pet, since it seems like we might be destined to be together.

I am just loving FoolCraft II so far, and it sucks hours and hours of my life away. That's why I haven't been able to play recently. Can you believe this is still just the beginning? I haven't even started some of the other mods.

I think my next goal is going to be to set up a storage area. My current storage is getting full, and somewhat disorganized. ;-;

By the way, I really like that form of "gameplay experience articles" much more than let's plays videos!

Lol yeah that's why I tend to avoid building games, I spend way too much time on them.
Sounds like the game has alot to it
