Gardening Time-lapse - Planting tomatoes and bushes

in gardening •  7 years ago

I made four gardening planters from wooden shipping pallets, used about $6 USD of soil in each planter and only spent $1.50 for each tomato plant. I have a rain barrel also, so I should be able to grow tomatoes and other vegetables for relatively cheap compared to paying full price for all materials. Spot the snail at 0:40 !
I'm loving connecting with people on the gardening and farming tags, tons of useful info and daily updates. Check the tags out if you haven't already, there is a huge gardening community on Steemit that everyone can be a part of.

Is there any tomatoe specie that doesn't have much strong odour?
I will like to try it if there is.
I love tomatoes but don't grow it because of that.
I'm jealous of your plants though.

Not sure about a species with low odor, but I know a lot of people plant odor masking plants around their tomatoes to mask the Tomato smell from pests that will eat them.

That's really awesome. I love pallets. There's a lady where I live who sells them for $1 each. I've been using some for gardening and other projects around the house. It's nice to meet a fellow gardener. I like that you do videos for your posts.

Thank you, I plan on doing more videos!

Well done, I really like the idea!

This is awesome. Not only is rainwater free but plants thrive on it , far better than tap water for their health ( and ours😉)

The tap water is so bad in Florida lol, you can smell and taste the chlorine.

It’s so bad in many parts of the world and plants really don’t like it with good reason, we should not drink it either 😉
