Natural ways

It occurred to me that I have not been taking many photos of my garden this year, especially as I go out and gather fresh ingredients to work with when I need them, so here is a shot from today.

I am slowly gathering clover, allheal, and yarrow to dry for the winter months during cold season as they are staples round here. I like to make a decoction of this trio, or use them as hot tea. Everything in nature is a partnership. I gather slowly as to let the bees and other garden helpers get their fill and needs met too. I often pick when the flowers are getting brown.

In my pursuit to gather some of the three healing sisters I decided to grab some spearmint and mulberries for a lovely suntea; English walnuts are starting to fall and so I gather them to start the sundrying process as summer goes along and, some comfrey to make a poultice to help heal a terrible burn... I started the healing process off with two days of fresh aloe, virgin coconut oil and royal jelly (with propolis) as a salve and now will add comfrey to the mix for the final stages of skin regeneration (this process will keep you from peeling and save your skin from harmful damage in the long run).

As an aside I would like to make a comment on the changing of Sol -- The sun is not the same as it once was, it is white hot and intense, what would take me a day to burn happens in a short amount of time now, even on overcast days. The days of the golden sun are gone.

Nice words. Well, here in Brazil we live in the biggest tropical country in the world. So we have lots of vegetables and tropical fruits in abundance. It is really the paradise of cheap and diverse natural goods.

You are lucky to have such a wonderful climate to grow healthy foods and medicine. I live close to a rain forrest and we have lots of beauty and foods too, just not the same. Nature can take care of us if we learn and let her. I only take a little a time, just enough for me when I need it. I also preserve stuff for the winters here.

Very nice images, I likes

@mamadini I came by to say Hi!
Having a home food garden Is One Of The Most Important Things You Can Do In A Corrupt Political System.

About the sun - have seen the artificial sun patents and other climate control/weather control patents in what some call full spectrum dominance?

Good day @ronmamita,

Thank you for stopping by. :)

I have indeed seen them. It's all so crazy, these times and all that is unfolding, that whole 2030 thing is terrible.

You know I agree about growing your own food, in fact, it's one of the most radical things a person can do these days. I hope you are growing food, not just for the security of knowing what went into your food, or the security and peace of mind it brings, but for the true pleasure of it. ;)

That last sentence..... yes I agree with all my heart. We all have the capacity to be healers if we are open to it. I love being a kitchen witch haha :)

Kitchen Witches Unit!
I too love kitchen witchery. ;-)

i just adore seeing a sample collection of what you have gathered in your garden. I especially find your description of the medicinal plants you use and the way you try to be in harmony with the season as you harvest to be a lovely practice to connect to the natural environment of your home.
Also, I totally agree with you about the sun and its white glare and intense rays that are more harmful than even the recent past. I hope your natural remedies help soothe and heal that burn <3

I got such a bad burn last Sunday, it's shocking. You know us of the red tribe can't take that.
