I hope everyone is safe and well. Thanks to @nahela mam for coming up with a great challenge contest. Steemit Engagement Challenge SEC-S20W4 | 2nd Tiempo: Arroces. This week's main dish is rice. This week we will learn how to create a 3-course menu (starter, main course, and dessert).
I am ready to present my main dish to you.

I am not familiar with all the types of rice mentioned in the class. A variety of rice varieties are discussed in class, including Basmati, Jasmine, White, Brown, and Long Grain rice. Some rice is prevalent in every country. Our country is Bangladesh. Bangladeshis eat rice as their primary meal. There are some notable rice in Bangladesh. For example: Basmati rice which is famous for cooking Kachchibiriyani. Sugar powder rice makes polao, biryani, and delicious dessert pies. Miniket, Kajallata, and red rice are some other kinds of rice that are usually cooked as a staple food by Bengalis in daily meals.
We would like you to prepare a main dish based on rice or with rice as a side dish (quantity for 1 person). It is important to explain the preparation process and the result. |

I have used 100 grams of rice for the main rice-based dish here for 1 person. Ingredients for my main rice-based fried rice dish:
Basmati rice 100 grams
Chicken 100 grams
Carrot 25 grams
Green capsicum 25 grams
Chilli 1 tbsp
Chopped onion 2 tsp
Salt Quantity
Oil 1tsp
Chilli powder 1\2 tsp
Cumin powder 1\2 tsp
Meat seasoning 1tsp
Garam masala powder 1\4 tsp
🍛Method of preparation🍛

First I took 100 grams of basmati rice in a bowl and washed it very well with water. Then soak in water for 15 minutes.

I brought a pot of water to a simmer on the stove after 15 minutes. I served basmati rice that had been boiled and soaked. When the rice is 80% cooked, pour it into a basket and drain the water.

Put another pot on the stove heat oil and fry it with chopped onion and fry it with chopped green chilies, ginger paste, and garlic paste.

In this step, I added chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, meat masala, and garam masala powder to the onion. Then I mixed all the ingredients well.

Then I added the chicken to the ground spices and cooked it for 5 minutes. The meat is almost cooked.

At this stage, I added carrot and capsicum pieces. I cooked the carrot and capsicum by shaking it for some time.

When the carrots and capsicum are cooked, I spread the rice after draining the water..My fried rice meal is now ready to be served.
🥗Salad preparation🥗
To prepare the salad, I chopped tomato, 2 green chilies, and onion. I then assembled the salad by tossing all the ingredients together with salt.

Here's the 3-course menu I envisioned with the food I just prepared
Main dish: Fried rice
Starter: I imagined tomato, cucumber salad, and borhani as a starter with spicy and delicious fried rice.
Dessert: I like to eat ice cream. So I envisioned vanilla ice cream with my main course as dessert.

Unfortunately, I missed the pasta class. So I can't share my pasta experience. I have never made pasta myself but cooked ready-made pasta. I will try to make this amazing pasta dish at home. Had a wonderful experience with rice today. Learned about many rice names and uses. I got to know about how much rice to serve for one person. It's a revelation to picture an appetizer and dessert served with the main course. I shared my new experience with all my friends. In the rice class, I learned that in different countries like our country, rice is preferred as a staple food. The experience of this course is commendable to me.

Your food looks so yummy and I like the veggies that accompanied the rice, you really missed the pasta class is something I will ever be grateful for. I can't forget how to make fresh pasta in a hurry.
