I think it's nice to make silos more attractive. It's interesting to notice that the children all seem to be hiding their faces. I can see a silo from the upstairs window of my house but it's not painted.

I haven't noticed much street art where I travel. What I do see often takes the form of graffiti. I guess that is a form of unofficial street art!

Congratulations on winning 1 x Steem Basic Income share. The details of the drawing can be found here.

Thank you so much for running this cool contest! I'm so happy to be the lucky winner! :)

Yes, the silos definitely look more attractive. It would be nice to see more creative uses of buildings near where I live.

I guess graffiti can be a nice form of street art when there isn't too much of it :)

Great piece of art. It reminds me of the movie Faces Places (Visages, villages) in which the depict local people in oversized formats. If you haven't seen that, I can really recommend it.

Just watched the trailer. The eyes on the concrete tanks sure are inpressive - and the other art also. I'll keep it in mind to watch. Thanks :)

You are welcome. Hope you'll enjoy if you end up watching it :)

Somehow you can question yourself why wasn't this painted from start like this. Congrats to author and thanks for capturing and showing us this.

Yeah, adds a lot of value the otherwise unappreciated structure. Would would you support local government if they made laws requiring industrial buildings visible to the public have some form of art attached?

Of course, there is no argue in supporting art!

I am new to Steemit so I am spending the day getting familiar with the platform. I have no idea what I am doing so, I am not actually here for the contest, per se. I came across your post by chain clicking on the highlighted names in the previous post that I had read. Anyway, I enjoy your photography, this is an interesting piece. When I was a kid, I used to love to go out to this small town in Texas, USA where a family had painted their house in polka dots, like this one https://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/1247 One of the first photos I ever took was a Polaroid of my Grandmother wearing a polka dot shirt in front of the polka dot house. I am no photographer but, I thought it was a great photo of her and the house. I don't have that picture anymore but, your prompt brought back the memory. Rural Texas actually has several good pieces of street art and graffiti on buildings and old barns. Maybe I will start seeking them out more now. Thanks.

Welcome to Steemit :)

That's an interesting idea for houses. I wonder how long they spent deciding where to put the dots..

Okay, that silo art is simply awesome! It's hard to say much after that, to be honest. I can just imagine the countryside filled with this kind of artwork - how exciting would that be?! Instead of saying I live at such-and-such farm (or need to visit that farm), I could say that I live at the farm with the sunflower silos (or whatever artwork you had put on there...) What a great way to support local art!!!
Great post!

That would be an interesting community to live in :) It would be nice if one of the art focused communities on Steem came together and oraganised art like this.

I used to really enjoy finding random works by Poster Boy in the New York City subway. Here is a funny example I found online:
wtf-is-street-art-anyway2.jpg

I personally find parking on the wrong side of the street confusing. Sure, it may be a good use of space on a one way street, but it just feels wrong..
