Today's Newspaper headline mentions "Sri Lanka is Bankrupt". It is sad to read such things, but at the same time also a thought to put that in the times to come how many more Countries will possibly have the same fate as this and the people of the Country will have to go through similar crises. Some may think it is one of the situation, but you never know this situation can become very common in the times to come.
The Country faces shortage of basic necessities of life like food, medicines, cooking gas, fuel....so not only are the people of the Country suffering but the whole economy is taking a back seat as with all of this even the tourism impacts. With shortages of basic necessities no tourist will want to go to such places. Imagine, Sri Lanka is such a beautiful Country and tourism is one of their most important Revenue and that gets impacted big time with all the crises. The Country has billions of debts.
The Country is rationing all the supply to it's people. No matter how much money you have in your account, you may still not have food on your plate, such is the state. You may still not be able to use your transport due to lack of fuel. If you fall sick and need medical attention, you do not know if you will get it or not.
Rich people in other Countries who think that they have money and they need not bother about such situations will be alarmed, because even with all the money you would have if you cannot buy things how will it help. The conspiracy theorist have been talking about this since some time now, that these kind of situations are going to emerge and it's just not going to be about one Country, but many Countries will become victim of this.
Food shortage and shortages of many other basic necessities will be experienced in the times to come and we need to be prepared for that by being self reliant, by taking actions now so that we do not become helpless and victims of the systems when these kind of situations will come up.

Luckily I have stored some rice and dhal so that we can eat, but that is also sufficient for only 2 or 3 months. Fuel is the major problem. Going from one place to another is almost impossible at the moment. Because of that whole supply chain is a mess. Even people have money essentials are almost empty in stores.
Because of a few politicians now the whole country suffering.
