We have to root out all the scammers on eBay people are losing money everyday it must stop thanks for your continuing help on this

The image has been edited with Photoshop or similar software look around the ear. also the end of the nose is missing and edited badly.

Agreed. I am no coin collector, but I know PS and that's a horrible job.

I thought the nose looked wrong! He looked more like Charles to me.

I hope u get the answer you're looking for!

he did lol

How can someone comment prior to the upload regal ?
The comments precede the you-tube upload by two minutes

Do not know how it can be voted on before uploaded

i dont know how madstacks and shalinoth are doing it its crazy?

One thing is for certain its not possible to vote / comment prior to the upload. The votes were already registered by almost three minutes when regales post was uploaded to steam.

I'm not seeing those numbers. I can't find where Steemit logs vote timings, but I think madstacks knows how to access those stats. I only know to hover my mouse over the "minutes ago" thing to see true comment times.

It's definitely not possible to upvote or comment on a blog entry that doesn't even exist yet.

yeah you definately cant vote or comment on a post that isnt there yet,

where are you seeing that 3 minutes quicksilver?

I was watching and the video link went live on here and the comments preceded the time the video was uploaded here instantly by 3 minutes and you-tube. I am thinking auto reply software.

The YouTube upload email came in at 22:15 on Gmail.
The Steemit post was made at 22:16m:18s
The comments start at 22:16m:24s

Madstacks with his Madskills usually has me beat. Not this time! :D

When the video link went up here your post a . if that's what it was before being edited. Had a time saying posted 3 minutes ago as soon as the video went live. I'm not trying to win any competition by the way I am stating facts. The time of three minutes also preceded the YouTube upload. Regal saw exactly the same thing as I did.

So after running the image on www.imageedited.com and getting some interesting data, I pulled the image into PS. The number on the top is edited very clearly. Also, parts of the coin are completely edited using a masking tool. Basically, it is made to look cleaner. While I can't confirm that this is YOUR coin, I can confirm this image is edited and done horribly in cheap software. (Irfanview.)

has any images on this guys page been doctored sorry to be pain

If you'd like a full work up on his images please let me know. I am no numismatic but I am a master at Photoshop and edited photos. The T-Shirt idea makes sense, but not in the context of a $20k+ Coin. I'd think you'd go to great lengths to prove it's authenticity in the first place, let alone copying over a previous coins image instead of just taking a new one. The time taken would be rediculous for no reason whatsoever.

Yeah, makes no sense to 'shop up pictures of this importance. I notice on other coins they have much sharper images. I have no idea why they'd only give the potential buyer these 2 measly images for a £35k item.

Good sleuthing boss

much appreciated!

Can you save and send to [email protected] does not sound good if he is doctoring coins worth tens of thousands of pounds

Will do, two minutes of work is always worth helping out a fellow Steemian!

Sent!

There is a logistical reason why some products on sites like this might be edited. A default image could be taken of a similar product, then they just colour-manipulate it to sell people all the variations. Same thing happens on sites that sell t-shirts, you'll notice the text or picture is far too straight, with no folds from the clothing. They just paste it on top.

But on a coin supposedly worth tens of thousands? You don't skimp on photography templates for that, it would be mental. You're selling to a very exacting audience.

That coin probably wasn't photoshopped onto the top, however. You can see where the little grips around the edge hold the coin, the colour of the gold beneath them changes from shadows. There's a white scratch (on the slab?) between the R and G in GEORGE, too.

great work your the man that can :)

Sorry britcoin i dont know photoshop at all

First? Miracle?

yup well played mate, that was damn fast!

Phew! Heh, thanks..

@britcoin I have experience with Photoshop (more recently with Gimp 2.0) and because their image resolution is so small it's really hard to prove. At 500% zoom, I can see a few pixels that look a little too similarly hued, which might indicate the usage of a smudge or cloning tool (like air brushing in magazines) but it's so hard to say without having better resolutions. Is this the coin you showed us the tell-tale scratches on? Hairline marks in specific places? If we put them side-by-side there might be more chance of noticing any editing.

This is my findings exactly. I found a much higher res version on their site using developer toolbar. After opening the exif data is 6 days old and the text area shows novice at best use of a clone brush. The area was also smudged and I can prove it due to the irregular square shapes sent in the email to @britcoin - let me know when you get it Brit!

got it, great work you are a star this people are scamming lots of people it has to stop

your doing a great job keep it up its just a matter of time until you get this scumbag!

Nice find! I'm pretty sure that coin is inside the slab. I just don't know why we are seeing manipulations on the coin itself. Maybe they tried to remove plastic shine and did a dirty job of it. It's crazy that they don't offer more and far bigger images of this to potential buyers.

That's what I'm saying. The site itself uses a PHP/Python code to resize the image and load it based on the browser size. Very strange. Also, like before mentioned, there would be no need to edit out the text area of a coin in the slab when that is the most important part aside from the quality of the coin if I were to make a logical assumption.

Yeah, anyone investing in some serious numismatics is going to research the numbers, too. If one doesn't show up as real on PCGS database, their reputation as a vendor could bomb overnight. On Facebook they have two 1-star reviews and then three 5-star reviews.

4 seconds shalinoth! You guy's are quick!

I think thats a new record :P

Wow.. 4 (aww, it's actually only 6) is pretty sharp. And my notifications aren't even turned on any more! (They were giving me a wee fright every time someone made or edited a comment, lol)

crazy fast!

Aw it's only 6 seconds, according to my Steemit hover-tip, when i put the mouse over the upload timer and my comment timer.

Dam you must be Physic

how did you do that in 6 seconds shalinoth???!

I saw the new Youtube video went up on Regal's channel while watching one of Tsquare Talk's videos. So I hopped over here and pressed refresh. Bam! Click, Reply, enter text, click Post!

ahh genius! 6 seconds is insane tho :)

You must have super fast net!

sorry britcoin, I have no Photoshop skills at all, im sure some do though, really hope you get this sorted

your right britcoin it does seem strange from what you showed in the video!

3rd! There is definitely something fishy going on there britcoin.

I'm amazed at how helpful and knowledgeable everyone is in your comment section, as opposed to the YouTube comments I read a while ago. Bravo to the community coming together to work on this problem!

No trolls here man. They get dealt with quick. I'm having so much fun here I haven't been on Yt all day. Which is different for me!

Haha I've been waiting for a video from you all day, too! Yes, I love Steemit way more. The people here truly are awesome, I almost forget that the internet has trolls!

The only people awake are the people here, so you talk to people who can hold a conversation

I agree wholeheartedly, a lot of people stay away from the platform for whatever reason (I guess their favorite celebrity hasn't adopted it yet) and to me it just seems as though there's some invisible shield keeping us safe from the mobs of mindless folk clicking around the internet 👍

I hope the day never comes when the celebrity's are on here. Isn't it ironic how most TV celebrities don't let there kids watch TV just like apple executives have said they would never give there kids an iPad. But that shit is OK for the sheeple.

They know how powerful a weapon media can be! Meanwhile the same people and companies churn out adds and reward the tastemakers for making us clamor for more and more of their products and services, as we build our own prisons of consumerism! (Posted on my iPhone 😂)

Its great and also quite refreshing to know not all are asleep and you can have a conversation on how things really are.
If you told the everyday Sheeple how the world really works. They would think you had gone mad for being truthful and honest and seeing it in reality and not getting your perception of reality through a TV fake book of twater. That's the real madness

With so many companies and businesses going rouge whom can we go to for protection against them?

Sorry I am just a man against the big boys but wait till I get hold of eBay and PayPal tomorrow they are so arrogant that they are right and you are wrong, well they are wrong many times.

Congratulations @britcoin!

Sorry but I can't help you. My expertise is almost zero. SOB.

Again, it should be SOV !
