And so I tried a withdraw from Rudex

Which isnt so bad at all, never had a problem with it really, its a working bitshares gateway all the times I used it! It just got a bad rap for being the ONLY thing @golos was left with after @bittrex delisted them but fyrstikken said he was going to talk with @bittrex about possible relisting now that its been forked and is under new ownership.
