And here we are, as promised, with our article dedicated to this important opening for Turin.

In fact, a well deserved review and so we decided to make it available to our readers.

The pizza here is extraordinary! Wonderful!

The truly unforgettable experience not only for the quality of the products, but also for the spacious, modern and very elegant rooms, the hall staff and the location as a whole.

Take some time to read the menu that provides valuable information on the varied and fascinating world of dough and leavened dough that here are artfully and carefully crafted.

The choice is between the following preparations (pizza base dough):

Fa Croc

Pizz' Otto

Crunchy

Classic

Authentic taste

Get advice and guidance from the service staff who are very well prepared and will explain to you with kindness and friendliness what the difference is and what the properties of each preparation, origin and type of flour used are.

For those who were very undecided (and in fact we have been too, in front of so many delicious opportunities) you can opt for the tasting menu (18 euro) that allows you to taste different preparations with stuffings at the choice of the chef.

Here's what I chose and photos of the dishes.

To begin with I decided to focus on the classic, so the buffalo.

Yeast dough sourdough, long fermentations, 100% Italian wheat flour, stone milled and rich in fibre.

Delicious. Perfect dough. High crust and crunchy. Delicious tomato, just right buffalo even in quantities.

I continued with a taste of Authentic Tonnetto Taste, spontaneous fermentation without the addition of yeasts. With stuffing of peeled tomato from Agro Nocerino Sarnese PDO, Ionian Sea bonito, capers' leaves, dried tomatoes from Pantelleria.

Continue with the Crunchy ham with cooked ham: flowering milk, Toumin dal Mel,"Alba" cooked ham and olives from Taggia.

The sensation of the crunchy, extreme but crumbly and pleasantly crisp and of the fresh and softness of cooked ham is divine.

A journey of flavours and textures.

And finally I tried the taste of Fa Croc with Mortadella.

The reinterpretation of the traditional Roman focaccia padded, very friability also in this case.

The filling is of Mortadella Palmieri, raschera PDO and caper of Pantelleria.

Prices

Prices are absolutely correct and appropriate to the offer.

The Fa Croc range from 8 to 10 Euros, the traditional ones from 6 Euros (the Queen) to 9 Euros, the Authentic Taste 9.5 Euros.

You will come out with a unique feeling of lightness (personally it never happened after eating the pizza that usually, however, is a little heavy.

Mother Taste opens in Turin. We are in the centre, via Mazzini 31, at the corner with via Provana (neighborhood Borgo Nuovo).

Inauguration Tuesday, December 19th and away with the gourmet pizzas by Massimiliano Prete who after Alba (Taste Madrea) and Saluzzo (Taste Divine) decided to expand its offer also in the city.

There is also great expectation because, let's remember, the chef and pizza maker Massimiliano Prete, from Salento, is already award-winning by the Guide of Gambero Rosso for its two pizzerias and by the guide Pizzerie d' Italia 2017, with its three segments.

There will be no lack of the main ingredients that the chef puts into all his creations: great attention and care in the choice of raw materials: flours, dough, great care and skill in the leavening process, all to ensure maximum lightness and digestibility of its products.

So only flours ground stone flours from Italian grains and products of companies that are already its suppliers, safe and reliable. There will be the classic "Fa croc" pizza, i. e. the reinterpretation of the Roman padded focaccia, the "Pizz' otto", which is a high-paste pizza and the "Crccante", with a high degree of hydration and mixed leavening.

Finally, there will also be a great selection of excellent wines and artisan beers on the menu and a dessert list that, thanks to their long experience of pastry making, we are sure will be of a high level.
