He Steals A Car, But When He Notices What's In The Back He Flags Police Down

in grand •  7 years ago

The owner of the car was inside a motel near Salt Lake City airport in the middle of the night when a man chose to steal it.

Francisco Esmerado, 23, decided to jump into someones car and took off. He soon realized he wasn't alone and instantly regretted his actions.

The owner of the car left her 12 year-old son in the car while she was checking into the motel for the night.

Shortly after jumping on I-80 he flagged cops down to surrender and return the 12 year-old. The young boy was unharmed and reunited with his mother.

According to The Salt Lake City Tribune, he was booked on charges of first-degree felony kidnapping, second-degree felony theft of a motor vehicle and a third-degree probation violation.

Even though he didn't know there was a child in the car and flagged police down when he realized it, he could still be charged with kidnapping.

Yea his ignorance of knowing the kid was there or not shouldn’t matter he should still be charged with kidnapping . The judge however should consider how he turned himself in when sentencing👍

Hes definitely going to be considered then
