I hope you're enjoying your weekend, I know I am, so it's time for me to participate in another contest.
I heard about this contest several months ago from @missdeli (thanks) but back then I didn't have time to enter any challenge so I am trying to catch up. It's an amazing contest organized by Coach Ben aka @healthsquared and sponsored by the amazing @sweetsssj! I love the fact that they are promoting healthy life!
I must warn you that you don't have much time to enter this challenge because at 08:00 am SUNDAY it's the deadline. For this week we had the prepare a healthy dessert, I made my own recipe and it was super tasty, even my friend agreed with me.
Recipe
For two persons:
Ingredients
- 4 bananas
- 2 TBS Peanut butter
- blueberries 100g
- chia seeds 10 g
- oats 20 g
- 4 TBS Greek Yoghurt 0% fat
- coconut flakes 10 g
You also need a blender.
How to do it
For the first layer, you should blend a half of the bananas, oats and peanut butter and a half spoon of greek yoghurt. You can also mash up, but it's smoother with the blender. Put in the glass and then add coconut flakes and chia seeds.You can refrigerate for 2-3 minutes until you're done with layer no 2.
For the second layer, blend the other half of the bananas with the blueberries. Add it to the first layer and then sprinkles some oats, coconut flakes and chia seeds. After that refrigerate for another minute and add the first layer once again, but also the second layer too. At the top, you can put the greek yoghurt, sprinkle more coconut flakes and chia seeds and add some fresh blueberries too.
I think it's a great dessert for a summer morning.
Time
Less than 10 minutes, so perfect for a breakfast in a hurry.
Important facts
According to the Cronometer:
1 medium banana has around 100 kcal
100 g blueberries have less than 100 kcal
1 TBSP of peanut butter has around 95 kcal
10 g of chia seeds have around 48 kcal
10 g of oats have around 39 kcal
2 TBSP of Greek yoghurt has approximately 18 kcal
5 g of coconut flakes have around 33 kcal
The total number of kcal of this dessert is around 400-420 kcal, so even if your goal is to lose some weight, you won't cheat with this one.
