Depression, which is regarded as the profound emotion of sadness, is a world’s worst feeling that almost everyone is suffering or will suffer at least once in their lifetime. It has no age limits; it influences people of any age any gender, anyone can be a victim of it. However, people don’t want to express their feelings to anyone and prefer to hide it in a mask of a happy face. Why this feeling tries to catch every single individual on the planet is an obvious question we all have.

Graduate students are more than six times as likely to experience depression and anxiety as compared to the general population, according to a comprehensive survey of 2,279 individuals conducted via social media and direct email.

Old health organization says that over 350 million people on the planet endure depression, which also results in illness. The basic information on how we were likely a victim of depression is due to the insufficient neurotransmitters called serotonin. There is another piece of evidence that states a depressed hippocampus, which is linked to memory and emotion, is relatively smaller than normal in those people.

One way to handle is to talk about the thing with your loved ones. You might be thinking not all of us have genuinely loved ones. But, the person doesn’t have to be your close friend, you can wish to talk about your depression and worries to anyone who you trust. Because this is not a problem of few people, but an issue that everyone knows and probably feels.

And if you are a happy person who has no worries at the moment and someone comes to you to talk about their problem, then let them complete the conversation and just listen without giving any suggestions at the very first sentence. The worst advice you could ever give to the person is that “chill man, this is not an issue, forget about it.” Remember, if it is such a small issue, he/she wouldn’t have to come to you to express their feelings.

I believe nothing is going to give you a lifelong treatment for depression rather than talking about it and listening to it. And don’t avoid depressed people, you may come across the statement that depression is contagious. Don’t worry about it, helping people from depression rather benefits you than destroys you.

Few medicines help you from depression which stimulates your happy mood by increasing number of serotonin. However, a happy friend’s conversation is way better than anything you could find to fight depression. If you have a depressed friend, talk to them in a way that you should bring happiness to them. Take her to shopping, make her to clean your dishes, watch movies together, go for a walk, play with a puppy, and make happy. But don’t forget if the problem is getting bigger, better contact a doctor.

I wish healthy days.

Good stuff

I wrote a similar post on depression being an activating factor for suicide. Only if people could voice out. Come to think of it, people voice most times, but how many folks render solutions to their problems.
