Dear Diary: I Will Still Hold On To My Parathyroid Medication Because The Benefits For My Leontiasis Condition

I am about to be in my parathyroid medication for about a year now and I am quite happy that I can still hold on despite that my medicine is notorious in giving me an appetite issue. I couldn't eat normally with it in my system and after starting taking it I could only eat better at dialysis times when I start to feel that the dialysis had washed most of it in my system so my appetite comes back that I can even eat much.

But in spite of the bad side-effects of Cinacalcet in my body it did something good for the most part like making me able to close my mouth or lips so that I could drink normally again in an upright manner unlike before where I just have to lay down and pour my drinks into my mouth so that I can take down liquids.

Nothing I could ask for but to pray that I get physical changes in my mouth particularly in my lower gums where it just literally got enlarged giving me a disability to talk and eat normally. But now I could talk and they can now understood what I am saying because of my recent mouth changes.

These changes including the alleviation of my back pain is attributed to my Cinacalcet, my parathyroid medication to control its hyper condition. I am also continually taking my Calcium in order for my bones to somewhat heal. So I am determined to continue my medication, discontinuing it will just mean that my pain or my Leontiasis would blow out of proportion so I a m afraid of that situation of ever happening again.

So my medication is working although I still have hyperactive parathyroid but I am still looking at a surgery for it or even a kidney transplant if I get to save some finances for it in the future. But right now I needed more prayers because miracles happened before and asking God for another one in my life is my hope that he would give.
