Our bodies and minds are used to running on a certain amount of life force. When we begin to make some serious alterations with this very life force, certain nasty side effects can crop up. This is a given and is also individual.
the flow of energy ii is belied to flow trough the 6 chakras.
Meditation helps conserve the energy and align the chakras.
So how to meditate?
1 ) Find a quiet place where you feel comfortable.
This will enable you to focus exclusively on the task at hand and avoid bombarding your mind with outside stimuli. Try to find a place where you will not be interrupted for the duration of your meditation
2 ) Wear something you feel good in. Wear your cozy sweater of pants. But be careful not to get too hoe or too warm during the meditation as you don't want to feel any discomfort. Also, try to wear something that is loose, not too tight clothes.
3 ) Stretch out a little as the time you will be standing perfectly still will make you sore if you don't do any stretching before.Remember to stretch your neck and shoulders, especially if you've been sitting in front of a computer, and don't forget your lower back. Stretching out your legs, particularly those on the inner thigh, can be helpful when meditating in the lotus position.
4 ) Set a target time for meditating .
Beginners can meditate up to 5-10 minutes a day, and it can be around 15-20 minutes a day as recommended by many.
5 ) Sit in a comfortable position.
6 ) Close you eyes. This will block out any external visual stimulation and prevent you from becoming distracted as you focus on calming your mind.
7 ) Follow you breath, repeat a mantra of visualize a place in your mind.
Good luck and happy meditation!
That's an excellent and analytical post about meditation..All these habits (or steps) are helpful in order to maintain a daily routine but let's just not forget how simple meditation really is. You just need to be present in the moment and of your surroundings. When you realise that you can do it everywhere even while walking. Great post
