I want to monitor my body temperature both for my health in general and for my hormonal imbalance in particular. For example, consistent readings can give me valuable information about my fertility cycle and the status of my adrenals and thyroid. For this reason, it is important to get accurate values and find a thermometer that is easy to use. Therefore, I will carry out a test to compare two different measuring points (orally/rectally) and three separate BBT (basal body temperature) thermometers:
- Natural Cycles digital BBT (purple)
- Geratherm digital BBT
- Geratherm analouge glass BBT thermometer
I will measure my temperature with each of the three thermometers three times a day at the same time for four days. I will measure T1 and T3 orally and T2 rectally. Although the test won't actually tell me which one of the thermometers and measuring points is the most accurate, the test can give me an understanding of how the three thermometers and two measuring points compare to each other. Result will be posted in a week.
