On the one hand, many people are completely comfortable with the idea that good health is the absence of illness. On the other hand, almost everyone else is convinced that being healthy means being physically fit – or at least active, because it turns out that simply being alive is a pretty good predictor of future illness. Yet physiological fitness is not the only measure of health. True, physical fitness is an important indicator of good health. But it's not the only one.
