Hard work by 14 Steemians for 3,804 reps today (187,942 overall), done across 31 people from 9 countries in 84 days! I modestly crossed over my first 10K reps.

The Challenge:

At least 100 honest reps of exercise every day. No excuses. No bullsh*t. Just actions, positivity, and results. Only post AFTER your reps are done. Please always support each other.

  • You choose what types of exercise reps to do.

  • 30 minutes of fitness walking, running, spinning, biking, cross-country skiing, etc., can count as 100 reps if you need to rest or can't handle weights.

  • I'll award 1 SBD for every individual 10,000 rep milestone. (8 SBD paid out)

  • I manually process and update all cumulative figures daily. Not easy...

-Nothing fancy to report. I didn't eat enough for a second straight day and need to fix this tomorrow. I'll be playing tennis again on Saturday and likely a baseball scrimmage, so I'll need to be fueled up for that on top of these reps to keep growing

Stepping it up a bit with those legs I see!! I love it!! Good weight progression!! It's Best to start low and focus on your form before jumping into heavy lifts! It will help you build that core strength and muscular endurance and then you will be able to have so much more power with your lifting!! Keep Pushing!! ;-)

Thanks. I'd do more, but I don't have any more weight in my apartment (except my Bowflex Revolution which has laundry on it). I had a 10 pound plate but lost the other one, which I just found!! Now I can do 95 pounds as a small uptick.

That is a great start! Control the tempo(speed) of your movements and you will get a lot more out of lighter weights, meaning they will feel heavy without actually being heavy!! 😉 Go for 3 count down, pause at the bottom 2 secs, the 3 count up (or 1 count if looking for power) ....Im speaking of deadlifts but this can be done for any lift. The concentric and eccentric movements are so much more effective when controlled.😊

Nahhhh, 75 pounds is light. It's just building up some endurance before I start facing my fear of bad gym music.

It may be light, but its still weight. I have a few weights at home and haven't started going to Crossfit yet. But I know that those weights are going to destroy me since I've been doing workouts with low weights.

I feel you. The music at the gym on wedensday was absolutely horrible. They had a spinning class with techno music and a lady constantly screaming in a microphone (I did not attend but I heard it all)
Luckily it isn't always that bad...

I really appreciate the appreciation of my attendance. My monthly subscription at the gym expired so I haven't been doing double session plus as of late, I've been really lacking motivation but I try to atleast keep up.
For today, I completed the challenge with my usual 50 squats and 50 inclined push ups(all after stretches) total: 100reps

It's okay!! Life Happens to us All!! Just gotta change up your routine a bit to make it fun again and challenge yourself with new things! That is what helps keep me motivated after almost 13 years now!! ^_^ And there are tons of things you can create at home to supplement not being at the gym....we just have to be creative sometimes!! ;-) You will be back on track in no time!!

That image is so legit!! I try to do 50 straight calf raises and i feel like something is stabbing me in the leg! LOL

I did 75 calf raises a few weeks ago and they were inexplicably sore for 6-7 days. Never had anything like that before. I can do 50 no problem, but for some reason the extra 25 was too much.

They really put a beat down on me, because I usually stay in the 10-15 range with slow movement. So getting up to the 25 and 30s was a chore for me lol

I did 100 last night to try to turn my own tears into muscle Mircale-Gro. We'll see.

Hi - others have asked about jumping rope and it's been treated as cardio. Obviously 500 jumps is nothing to sneeze at, but I haven't been counting them as 1 for 1 reps. Not to take away from it, but this is more in the ballpark of 30 minutes of cardio for 100 reps to keep it the same across the board for everyone. That ok with you?

Light day for me today, Was tied up all morning getting my CPR recertification then work, kids, and life happened so you know the rest!!! But I still made it in to ride the spin bike for 30 minutes to get the blood flowing before I had to pick up the kids from school!!! Something is always better than nothing!! ;-) Great job everyone!! I saw some great work being done today!! ^_^

Daily challenge completed - 185 reps

Part 1 - 72 reps:
2 rounds
12 squats
4 walk outs
6 baby makers
4 Incheon worms
5 wall squats
5 burpee

Part 2 - 113 reps:
In a 12 minute window, Complete:
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 reps of:
Double dumbbell squat (50 lbs)
Bar facing burpee

Then in the remaining time find 1rm clean

The squat and burpee part was damage control for me. My goal was just to buy enough time for a few good lifts on the clean. Got 3 lifts at about 84%, 89% and 95% of my max with my heart rate in the orange/red zone so not too bad.

You make workouts a science. I'm still in workout pre-school learning how to count compared to you!

It’s just a negative side effect of having s STEM education and being obsessed about things like this. 😁

Thanks. Very slow and steady. For only 10K reps (including some cardio), I'm pretty happy with the gains. I don't think I could've put much more muscle on if I went to the gym and double.
