El Weekly Steemit Health Challenge n. ° 2: Wholemeal bread pudding

Greetings friends steemit, I am pleased to have the opportunity to participate again in this contest, thanking @healthsquared y @sweetsssj ,for maintaining this type of activities that in addition to providing an economic benefit, highlight the importance of leading a healthy life.

I present the following recipe:

Wholemeal bread pudding


The wholemeal bread, being a very rich fiber food, produces satiety, which decreases the feeling of hunger between hours.

Who said desserts with less calories are not rich? Next we will offer a sweet, delicious and low calorie recipe.

Ingredients:

½ kg. of integral bread
1 liter of skimmed milk
4 tablespoons of sweetener
The zest of half a lemon
a trickle of vanilla essence
2 egg yolks
6 egg whites

Preparation

1-Discard the bread crust and cut it into cubes.

2-Heat the milk and pour it in a bowl on the bread.

3-Crumble the bread soaked in milk and add the vanilla essence, the egg yolks, the sweetener and the lemon zest. Mix well, until the ingredients are well incorporated.

4-Mount the egg whites until stiff and incorporate them into the previous preparation by applying enveloping movements.

5-Pour the resulting dough into a mold previously smeared with sunflower oil.Place in the oven for 45 minutes at 170 ºC.

Once the pudding is ready, let it cool to room temperature without unmolding.When it has cooled down we can unmold it.

If there is one ingredient that deserves to be highlighted in this dessert, that is wholemeal bread.
Being a very rich in fiber, it produces a feeling of fullness, which decreases the feeling of hunger between meals and helps to reduce the intake of other foods. Therefore, it is a recommended food in weight loss diets.
Its consumption is also recommended in diabetic people, since its fiber helps regulate blood sugar levels.
For the preparation of this dessert we have also used egg, which will enrich the recipe with an important amount of high biological quality proteins.
