This is called the HIVE AirDrop Exclusion List. (HIVE

Dear Kopasi and all @proxy.token voters. You have a compelling point, yet "Ethnic Cleansing" is a very loaded, insinuating reasoning, which is obviously not the reason for this ruleset about the airdrop: Consensus in the Hive group decided the specific rulesets for this INITIAL airdrop. You can find the rules for the ruleset in the code of 23.0 which you are already stating in this article.

Please notice the words: INITIAL.

I want to emphasize that the Hive chain is a new beginning, with 50+ developers working on the chain and its direct projects. So, exciting times ahead!

While I understand it is painful to see @proxy.token proxy voters with more than 1K SP being excluded from the INITIAL airdrop, I want to let you know that the case for "forgiveness" is very much alive. We all make mistakes.

HOWEVER, the funds for those not included on the Hive Airdrop have simple been moved to the DAO HIVE FUND and will NOT be burned or in any other way used for the foreseeable future.

"Hive Chain"에 대한 "Airdrop"-펀드가 여러분을 기다리고 있습니다:

The Airdrop Funds for the Hive Chain are waiting for you:

You are very welcome to start a Proposal on behalf of the Proxy.Token voters to unlock those funds.

Please understand that consensus was reached on the specific rules for the "exclusion of initial airdrop"-list. Anyone can run any software.

I very much encourage you once the fork is complete and stable, to look into a Voting Proposal and depending on how it looks I might very much be for a "forgiveness" vote, but it will depend on your proposal.

If you don't like that, obviously everyone is very welcome to stay with the Steem chain or run their own software.

Looking forward to your proposal on behalf of proxy.token voters on the Hive chain!

Sort Order:

In no way should anyone that voted for the sock puppets get a pass.

That is double the case for the Koreans.

They could have at any time removed the sock puppets from power.

They decided to ask for ransom instead of trying to bridge the gap between tron and us.

That's what I expected during the talks with Justin. Creating understanding due to their tie breaker position.

Instead they wanted to get payed and accepted bribes from Justin.

And now this post. I find them despicable and it has nothing to do with their race or nationality.. How dare they even insinuate such a thing.

Even if hardfork 0.22.2 freezes certain accounts, @proxy.token tried to stay neutral. @proxy.token voted on both sides.

@proxy.token tried to make a conversation with Tron and steem witnesses. You can look at SCT discord. Anybody can watch the conversation.

Why do you blame Korean and @proxy.token?

Hive will have a plan to freeze certain accounts that have different opinion from hive's opinion..
I am really disappointed.

No one is freezing any funds on Hive.

And please Google meaning of the word "neutral".

Neutral would have been not voting at all. They were not neutral.

Voting for enough witnesses that neither side could istitute a hard fork is one of the most neutral things somebody could do.

No it is not. It's playing sides.

Not voting for anyone has the same effect if neutrality was the goal. It was not.

  ·  5 years ago (edited)

Not voting for anyone would have let the chain get taken over by who ever had the greater cash flow. Which probably would have been sun with the help of the exchanges

Again, thanks to votes from SCT and the rest of the korean community neither side could have made a move.

Witness votes are not a one shot deal so choosing to not vote is not the same as voting for both sides.

Trying to support both sides can also be counted as not taking sides; ergo basically neutral.

Helping maintain centralization on the chain is in no way neutral.

  ·  5 years ago (edited)

Helping to maintain centralization on the chain would be voting for 17+ tron witnesses. What they did is prevent either side from acting and tried to encourage conversation.

They did not encourage conversation. They made a list of demands.

What demands?

They decided to ask for ransom instead of trying to bridge the gap between tron and us.

Source?

Go to their discord and search for the talks between witnesses and Justin.
Or simply search through Ausbitbank posts and find the video.

Why should I have to sift through discord chat logs? If what you said is true then surely someone has made a post about it with the relevant information.

There's a post on my blog.

https://steemit.com/sct/@lordbutterfly/unfortunately-the-korean-justin-discussion-was-a-complete-waste-of-time

This one? Because I am still not seeing any kind of evidence except for you saying something happened. And I really don't feel like going on a hunt for something that may not even exist.

Exactly @lordbutterfly good riddance to them. I remember that giant extortion letter full of demands from the community. Now they want to cry about the airdrop exclusion , cry racist, censorship blah blah blah.
I say WELCOME TO THE CONSEQUENCE OF YOU OWN FUCKING ACTIONS

The demand, as I understood it, was for a 3-day power down. Well, they have control of the steem blockchain now and the power down still takes 13 weeks. I wonder why that is? Could it be that a great many people have started a power down?

The above is a rhetorical question. I guess they realized the reasoning why a 3-day powerdown was anathema to the former STEEM witnesses.

Thanks for the reply.

So who made this decision? Please let me know. You said "consensus", which implies multiple people.

Glory7 go make your fork and exclude any account you want.

anyone running v23.0 and or will run v23.0 signals agreement with the code.

Thank you for letting me know. While our opinions may be different, I would like to let you know that it was pleasant discussing with you.

So if we have a hard fork that freezes your steem, it's okay because we are consensus. it's right?

Do what you want (in fact you can't be prevented from doing so; that is exactly what it means to be a decentralized system), people can decide whether to support it or not.

^^

And not to support means that the majority may steal the property of the "non-supporter"?
Absolutely captivating logic, this is a very strange understanding of community.

^^

You're blocking accounts, accounts don't have an ethnicity, just chuck that line back at them. There's nothing to defend here.

  ·  5 years ago (edited)

No accounts are blocked. The accounts will still work fine on Steem (in fact also on Hive). Hive invites supporters of a decentralized blockchain who fought (unsuccessfully) to decentralize Steem and keep it decentralized, and honors them with an airdrop equal to their Steem holdings.

Apologies, wrong choice of word maybe! I meant 'not receiving the airdrop' of course!

Yes very true. It is completely decided through a script which ran an objective comparison and came up with the result based on the ruleset.

@roelandp I was eagerly waiting to join Hive and when I logged in to my wallet there it says "Host Error" after being on Steemit for almost 4 years I can't understand why I can't use Hive!? I can log in but can't upvote or comment etc. I never supported Justin and 0nly have 713 Steem power and 88 steem, so why is it not working for me!?

This was a huge fork. It always takes time to make adjustments. Just be Be patient and it will come. My wallet isn’t there yet either

ok thanks, I can't do any curating etc without it.

At Peakd.com the wallets are working

I tried going there but I can't log in!?I spent an hour on that earlier, thanks though!

Where are you trying to access it at...
Go to this site https://peakd.com and log in with your Steem name and keys, set a 5 dig PIN and unlock your account there. once in click on your name in the upper right and click wallet on the drop down menu.... Wallah
I've been using my Hive wallet there since it went live.

I've tried before to log in there but it won't work for my for 2 days now! Thanks though for the info if I find time I will try again, but at least I can keep using Steemit , all of my posts that I make are on the Appics App anyways that automatically post over to Steemit. But still it would have been nice to try out the new site.👍✌✊

Justin is a low life wanna be Jack Ma. Steem will die because of Justin.

Lol, so true.

Lol!

Hi there

I've been reading through many comments related to new hive chain and I've seen your comment too. Many users are being torn, however majority seem to be moving to new hive.

Are you fully moving there or will you stay on both chains? Just curious. I'm trying to figure out what to do myself.

And who set the rule? The rule itself is very subjective, as @lukestroke also wrote.

Quite! One thing I dislike more than racism, and there's not a lot of things, is defamatory claims against someone for being racist, at least when those claims are obviously not based in fact and are almost certainly just being done to harm someone's, or in this case (bizarrely) a blockchain's reputation.

I voted a few witnesses for Tron by accident when the call was made for witness votes. One I learned my error I switched the votes immediately. I am a real person and very much a supporter of the.ö community. I was upset at first but now I learned it was a screaming process used by a by bot a personal attack. Please I ask for a forgiveness vote so I can continue on the hive chain. Thank you

It's not racist to call a government totalitarian. You can love Chinese people and hate the Chinese government. It's also not racist to understand the political and economic reality in China where private companies have to act according to the agenda of the CCP or perish. It has nothing to do with race, ethnicity or nationality, but with government and allegiance. It's not racism but simple politics, the opposition of a people against the plans of an enemy party that wishes to conquer them.

You can find more about the relationship between the government and the private sector by doing some research on your own. The following article explains some of it.

https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/02/07/we-cant-tell-if-chinese-firms-work-for-the-party/

Justin Sun isnt the chinese government. He's just a guy, a hard working entrepreneur whos innovations have made my life better.

He isn't the Chinese government, sure, but he acts within the interest of the Chinese government, pays taxes to the CCP and sure acts very totalitarian. Read this post:
