بصیر پور ضلع اوکاڑہ اور تحصیل دیپالپور کا ایک قصبہ ہے جو دیپالپور سے 23 کلومیٹر دور لاہور پاکپتن ریلوے سیکشن پر واقع ہے۔
بصیر پور شہر کی 2017 کی مردم شماری کے مطابق، آبادی 48,326 تھی۔

روایت کے مطابق اسے بصیر نامی سکھ نے آباد کیا تھا جس کا تعلق چھچھر قبیلے سے تھا۔

ملا فرید اسی قوم میں مسلمان ہوئے۔

ان کا مزار آج بھی بصیر پور میں ہے۔

قدیم زمانے میں یہاں ایک قلعہ بھی تھا۔

اس قلعے کے چار گنبد اب بھی موجود ہیں۔

شروع میں یہ قصبہ ایک نوٹیفائیڈ ایریا تھا، پھر اسے ٹاؤن کمیٹی اور بعد میں میونسپل کمیٹی کا درجہ ملا۔

2001 میں نئے بلدیاتی نظام کے تحت اسے دو یونین کونسلوں میں تقسیم کر دیا گیا۔

یہاں صحت اور تعلیم کی سہولیات عام طور پر دستیاب ہیں۔

دو سرکاری ہسپتالوں کے علاوہ پانچ پرائیویٹ ہسپتال بھی ہیں، جبکہ طلباء و طالبات کے لیے دو الگ الگ ڈگری کالج، ہائی سکول اور کئی سرکاری اور غیر سرکاری مڈل اور پرائمری سکول ہیں۔

میونسپل آفس، ایگریکلچر آفس، پولیس اسٹیشن اور تمام بڑے بینکوں کی برانچیں بھی وہاں ہیں۔

ایک غلہ منڈی بھی ہے، جہاں تمام اہم اجناس کی تجارت ہوتی ہے۔

آلو، گندم، چاول، گنا اور مکئی اس خطے کی اہم فصلیں ہیں جب کہ ڈیری فروٹ کی پیداوار میں بھی یہ خطہ اہم ہے۔

بصیر پور میں دینی تعلیم کے اہم اسکول بھی ہیں، جن میں دارالعلوم حنفیہ فریدیہ، منظور اسلامک اکیڈمی اور دارالعلوم جامعہ فرید قابل ذکر ہیں۔

یہاں زیادہ تر چھچھڑ، آرائیں، راجپوت، واتو اور پٹھان قبائل کے لوگ رہتے ہیں۔

ہندوؤں اور سکھوں کے چھوڑے ہوئے گوردوارے اور مندر اب بھی موجود ہیں۔

تحصیل سازی کی تحریک

23 جولائی 2020 کو دیپالپور تحصیل کو دو حصوں میں تقسیم کرکے تحصیل بصیر پور بنانے کی تحریک التواء پنجاب اسمبلی میں پیش کی گئی۔

تحریک التوا ن لیگی رکن اسمبلی چوہدری افتخار چھچھر نے جمع کرائی۔ قرارداد میں کہا گیا ہے کہ ضلع اوکاڑہ کی تحصیل دیپالپور کی آبادی 14 لاکھ ہے جو پنجاب کی سب سے بڑی تحصیلوں میں سے ایک ہے۔

پنجاب کے ایسے اضلاع ہیں جن کی آبادی تحصیل دیپالپور سے کم ہے۔

انتظامی اور معاشی معاملات کو بہتر انداز میں چلانے کے لیے محکمہ ریونیو نے حکومت پنجاب سے بصیر پور کو نئی تحصیل بنانے کی درخواست کی۔

محکمہ پولیس نے بھی بہتر انتظامی امور کے لیے بصیر پور کو تحصیل بنانے کی حمایت کی۔ صوبائی حکومت کی طرف سے 2007۔

میں نے بصیر پور کو تحصیل بنانے کا اعلان کیا تھا لیکن اس پر عمل درآمد نہ ہوسکا جبکہ پنجاب اسمبلی کے ایوان نے بصیر پور کو تحصیل بنانے کی قرارداد متفقہ طور پر منظور کر

Basirpur
Basirpur is a town in District Okara and Tehsil Dipalpur, which is located on the Lahore Pakpattan Railway section, 23 km from Dipalpur.
According to the 2017 census of Basirpur city, the population was 48,326.

According to tradition, it was settled by a Sikh named Basir, who belonged to the Chchchhar tribe.

Mulla Farid became a Muslim in this nation.

His mausoleum is still in Basirpur.

There was also a fort here in ancient times.

Four domes of this fort still exist.

Initially the town was a notified area, then it got the status of a town committee and later a municipal committee.

In 2001, under the new local government system, it was divided into two union councils.

Health and education facilities are generally available here.

Apart from two government hospitals, there are also five private hospitals, while there are two separate degree colleges for male and female students, high schools and several government and non-government middle and primary schools.

Municipal office, agriculture office, police station and branches of all major banks are also there.

There is also a grain market, where all major commodities are traded.

Potato, wheat, rice, sugarcane and maize are the main crops of the region, while the region is also important in the production of dairy fruits.

Basirpur also has important religious education schools, among which Dar Uloom Hanafia Faridiya, Manzoor Islamic Academy and Dar Uloom Jamia Farid are worth mentioning.

Most of the people of Chhachhar, Aryan, Rajput, Vatu and Pathan tribes live here.

Gurdwaras and temples left behind by Hindus and Sikhs still exist.

Tehsil formation movement

On July 23, 2020, the pending motion to divide Deepalpur Tehsil into two parts and make Basirpur Tehsil was tabled in the Punjab Assembly.

The adjournment motion was submitted by Chaudhry Iftikhar Chhachhar, member of the N-Legis Assembly. It has been said in the resolution that Dipalpur Tehsil of Okara district has a population of 14 lakh which is one of the largest Tehsils of Punjab.

There are districts of Punjab whose population is less than Tehsil Dipalpur.

In order to better manage the administrative and economic matters, the revenue department requested the Punjab government to make Basirpur a new tehsil.

The police department also supported making Basirpur a tehsil for better administrative matters. 2007 by the provincial government.

I had announced to make Basirpur a tehsil, but it could not be implemented, while the House of Punjab Assembly had unanimously approved the resolution to make Basirpur a tehsil.
