Thank you to everyone who made an application to become a Professor for the Steemit Crypto Academy.
We have now been through all the applications and selected 10 Professors for the forthcoming Season 6.
Most of this season’s Professors are familiar faces, but we welcome one newcomer @abdu.navi03.
Season 6 will be starting in the next couple of weeks with a new emphasis on trading. We hope everyone will enjoy expanding their skills and knowledge in this new area of the crypto world.

Season 6 Changes
For this new season there will only be a single level. The Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced levels will not be used in this season. There will also be no fixed Introductory courses.
There will be a new focus on trading for Season 6.
The minimum requirements to enter Season 6 will be…
- Reputation 60 or above
- Minimum Steem Power of 250 SP
- Participation in at least #club5050.
The standard voting reward will be 2 x grade from @steemcurator02, with a minimum grade of 5 out of 10 required to be eligible for a vote.
Votes will be increased for those correctly participating in #club75 or #club100.
As well as standard courses and homework tasks, Season 6 will also see the introduction of Team Trading Contests.

😭😭😭😭, reputation 60 ?, this is really not fair, after the hard work to get to rep 50 and then 55. Some of us have always powered up all we have and never taken away anything just so we can meet the criteria. Please we beg that this new policy be reviewed 🙏🙏

I was happy to hear that season 6 is starting this week because I didn't have the chance to participate in season 5 due to the rule of 150 steem to be powered up every month. But now I'm also disappointed with this season 6 new rule of having 60 rep or above before a person can participate, it really kill my esteem to continue in this platform because my sole goal was to participate in Crypto Academy Classes. Please the admins and moderators should consider about the rule. Give us a chance to experience the joy of writing and getting rewarded for our quality contents. Thanks🕊️

But I don't know why the crypto team have the interest of always increasing the reputation, it doesn't add anything to the community or the blockchain but rather excluding people from participating. I think the best thing to do is to steadily increase the steem power but not the reputation. My humble suggestion, the 55 reputation for introductory courses should be maintain to allow more newbies to participate.

Although I will like to point out and appeal that the minimum required rep of 60+ for season 6 should be looked at again and reviewed, because it is critically unfair to most of us here. A lost of us are new to the community, we joined as beginners to learn more about crypto so you do not expect a beginner to have a high rep same as a person who is already an expert in crypto trading.
So please I ask the admins of this great community to sincerely put themselves in our shoes to provide a solution that will be a win-win for both us and them. Reducing the minimum required rep for the next season is a fair start into a fruitful direction.

well first thing first, a big congratulation to the professors
But I am really not happy, I thought the essence of the crypto academy is to provide users especially newcomers with the necessary knowledge on crypto trading because newcomers are yet to attain the minimum required reputation that is stated and as such a lot of new comers might be discouraged hence no one is permitted to perform any task on crypto academy if one is yet to attain a rep of 60. left to me it would have been better to have a power up rule of 150sp than to have a 60 rep rule, at least a rep of 55 upward should be considered to participate it is not easy to gain rep these days, the introductory courses helps newcomers to gain reputation as well as the beginners courses. please I beckon on the @steemitblog to look into this matter and try to come with a better solution because the newcomers need the knowledge too, there is no community on steemit that one can gain rep so easily like crypto academy, it is just like a home for many new comers. imagine you having a son and one day you decided to deprive him of shelter, will that be fair?
please let everyone be considered, if only we can put ourselves in each other shoe's and make this rep more flexible for the newcomers, please and please do not deprive us of this privilege, I beg of you to review this minimum of 60 reputation rule thank you. @steemitblog. long live steemit crypto academy.

The 60 rep and 250 steem power up is truly heartbreaking for newbies like me, i was so excited for the new crypto academy season because i thought that i was going to be eligible for the new season with my 50 reps but seeing this new change is severely heartbreaking......

Congratulations to all newly selected professors. Well deserved. But I'll like to point out that the 60 reputation requirement isn't fair at all. The whole point of crypto academy is or was to engage or teach newcomers on crypto and how to trade, but our legs are literally being cut right underneath us. Those with 60 reputation or above are already traders or have knowledge on trading to an extent. On behalf of everyone affected by this, we ask that it should please be looked over and reduced to some extent so that we can also have the opportunity to partake in this season as more emphasis is going to put on trading. Most Steemians have been anticipating the Crypto Academy and over the months have used Crypto Academy to boost their reputation.
I think the reputation of 60 would discourage most Steemians and this could really pose a great emotional blast to them.
I want to solicit on behalf other Steemians that this rule be looked upon and adjusted.
Or better still let there be a way of boosting their reputation like the steem nursery (which doesn't help by the way) before coming to crypto Academy.
Also note that we have Steemians who are grounded in trading and crypto yet there reputation is less than 60.

But It is really discouraging for all newcomers like me about the 60 reputation. I did my 56 reputation by working hard and now, minimum reputation requirements increase. It is not fair.

The academy is no longer favoring hardworkers coming new into the platform

I can't even convince newbies who wish to join steemit again cause of decisions like this

As a newbie I'm very disappointed with the "Min. 60 reputation" rule. Just like me their are alot of users who have lower reputation than 60. And sadly now we can't do the courses in Steemit Crypto Academy.

Congratulations to the new professors but to be honest a minimum of 60reputation is not nice at all. These means that only few people is going to participate in this season 6 crypto academy. Statistics of steemit members with 60reputation should be carried out and you all will find out that it’s only few steemains that has upto 60reputation. To top it all it’s mostly those that has a reasonable amount of sp that have upto 60reputation. Please am not just speaking out for me but for other people who are in this situation too.

Saludos amiga @rosselena . En este momento no puede participar puesto que necesita tener los 250sp acumulados y solo tiene 198. Aunque el requisito más fuerte para conseguir son los 60 de reputación. Usted en este momento tiene 56. Igual pude leer las tareas de principiantes, para que cuando acumule los valores pedidos ya tenga una base de conocimientos.

Since I entered Steemit I have wanted to belong to this great academy, and I consider that I have worked hard to achieve the requirements, however last season with the rule of 150 to turn on each month I was discouraged, hoping they could change it, and excellent that they have modified.
However now with the reputation of 60 my spirits drop again, since I don't know how to advance fast there, again to keep waiting to be able to enter.
I hope you can consider this rule and reduce it for other steemians like me to be part of the academy. Thank you very much for your attention!
