Shawarma Rice
Hiya Everyone! Tori here! Today, I'll be showcasing a really scrumptious dish. Shawarma Rice is derived from the typical Middle Eastern Kebab, however in this version, the fillings of the shawarma are deconstructed and placed on top of a seasoned rice. Filipinos really like to put rice on every possible "ulam" or viand in english that they can possibly think. Shawarma is no exception, what really separates this dish is how it resembles a Chinese Fried Rice wherein meat and other ingredients are mixed in with the rice. The rice also adds another layer of texture and flavor to the shawarma meat, making it more complex and really decadent to eat.
