Steemit Engagement Challenge | S7W5 | If I were The Principal

Asalam Alikum! This is Asad Fazal from Pakistan. I hope all members of the community are doing well and are enjoying their life to full. Today I am here to take part in Season 7 Week 5 contest held in Steem4Bloggers community by dear admins and mods. The topic of the contest is "If I were The Principal". It is really interesting topic to discuss here and I would love to share my thoughts on it. So stay with me till end!

If I were the Principal which is a difficult task to do, I would carry out all of my responsibilites and duties with 100% honesty and dedication. I will make sure that my school has all the facilities that is necessary for the growth of my students. We all know that in school, students spend more than 6 hours and they need proper environment that help them focus on studies and discipline. The environment is the key role in growth of academic as well as phsycial activities of students.

For the growth of my school in academics as well as physical activities, I will do some key steps. The first step will be the environment of my school including classes, library, academic classes, labs, and staff room. The environment includes facilities, health support, discipline, classroom practices, infrastructure, sanitation, and moral and social values.

Second step will be to hire highly educated as well as experienced teachers and staff members who have the ability to deal with all type of students. Moreover I will train teachers about different aspects of life so that they not only teach students books but will teach them lessons of life so that they will be better person tomorrow.

My next step will be to provide them all necessary materials and books in the library so that they can read more by themselves. I will arrange cultural activities and student conseling as it benefits students a lot in long run of life. There will not only be studies but physical activities outside classrooms will be arranged regularly to refresh students and make their mind active and healthy. Also I will monitor parents-teacher communication and proper weekly and monthly tests because it is necessary for students to be prepared for exams.

Discipline is very important not only in schools but also in every field of life. Discipline motivates and encourage students to achieve what they want. It helps students to develop the inside voice that guide them in right path. With discipline not only students but every person can train his brain and body for the difficult times and how they can achieve their goals and eliminiate emotions.

It is very important that a Principal should hire those teachers and staff members who have discipline in life. The reason is they will maintain the discipline in class and school. It not only make the study environment in the class good but will encourage students to stay focused in what they are learning.

The discipline can be implemented if we talk with the students in a polite way. If they make mistake that is against school rules, first we should talk to them and tell them what they did wrong. If they do the same mistake again, we need to call their parents or guardians and tell them their child's mistake. Still if he continues misbehaving and disturbing the discipline of the classroom, we must punish them to make them feel their multiple times same mistake.

Builidng positive relationship in classroom between teachers and students is necessary because it will make the environment pleasing. If I were the Principal, I will ask teachers to talk with students in polite way and will ask students to respect their teacher and follow what he/she says. The positive environment and relationship can be build if we reward students with the tasks they complete. No matter small or big reward teacher give them but it will only encourage students to have good relationship with teachers.

I have already mentioned in the first question's answer that I will arrange physical activities because they are very important for relaxing and healthy mind. We all know sports is necessary not only for boys but for girls also. Sports keep the mental as well as phsyical health stable. It also helps keep the body active all the time even after school or college time.

So If I were the Principal of school, I would definitely promote sports in my school in both boys and girls. Not this but I will also play cricket, football, and other sports to encourage and motivate my students. If still some students feel it is not good, I will arrange sports gala or festivals where they can participate and win exciting prizes and awards.

To promote sports in my school in both girls and boys, I will organize sports events first. Will provide proper sports equipment and will play together with students because when they see me playing sports, I know they will surely join sports. Next I will conduct team matches just like in all sports, it will encourage them not only for school life but in college and university life also.

We all have been in schools in early age of ours and we all know how much it is important to have positive relationship between teacher and students to boost good atmosphere in the classrooms. If a teacher teach in best polite way and answers all the questions of all students, it will make the students' behaviour good and thus makes the environment of classroom perfect.

I have studied in strict environment which I will never implement in my school if I am the Principal. The reason is strict rules and atmosphere will let students misbehave and not focus on studies and sport activities. So I will take special care in this regard myself and will teach teachers how to maintain the classroom atmosphere. I will ask teachers to behave well with students and not burden them with extra homeworks and tests.

It is important to give break of at least 10 minutes to students after every lecture. I myself didn't get this break but only the mid break that is in every school. This makes students' mind less focused and more boring towards lecture. But if we give them 10 minutes of break after every lecture, they can refresh themself by talking with classfellows and go outside classroom for 10 minutes.

My story is different from most of the contestants here because I left school after 8th class and study in an academy from where I submitted private admission for matriculation level exams. I have no memories for matriculation level in school but I will share about the personality of my school principle when I was in 8th class.

At the time of my enrollment in 8th class in Multan Junior and Secondary School, the prinicpal was the wife of owner of school. She was well disciplined, highly educated, experienced, polite and sweet. She always was in hurry to solve the issues of students and especially me I can directly visit her office without permission of guard sitting outside. The reason is good relationship of my family with her and family.

She was always full of energy and stay in contact with students to encourage and motivate them. On special events, she do speech and ask students to participate in different activities. As she was highly educated and experienced principal, she encourage us to perform our best in academic and sports activities. Now I hav heard that her son who is also highly educated is running school and more better than her mother and father. Because he knows modern hacks to implement in school that can boost the performance.
