Introduction

Hello Great steemians , I welcome you all.I'm particularly excited to participate in this amazing challenge, writing on an interesting topic like this makes this job enjoyable and worthwhile especially my first time to take on a challenge on this amazing community #steem4bloggers from #newcomer community.

As a parent it is natural to want to create boundaries and set a structured environment for your children , it's also worthy to note that parenting is naturally very uneasy task , laden with cart full of diverse kinds of responsibilities mix ranging from physical, spiritual, emotional, educational and psychological approach harnessing together to form the best characteristics and behaviours of children,it is only those who don't have children yet would not understand the depth and height of tougher challenges involved in raising a total child. However it is important for parents to also understand the potential impact of strict behaviour on children's mental health. While discipline is necessary for teaching responsibility and accountability, overtly strict parenting can lead to depression in children, feeling of anxiety , panic attack and feeling of low esteem. It's neccessary for parents to find a balance between setting rules and allowing for flexibility and to be mindful of their potential effects on their children's mental wellbeing.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of parents strict behaviour?

Parents strict behaviour will encourage discipline; Strict parents instill discipline in their children, teaching them the importance of rules and boundaries.

Strict parents command respect from their children ; children raised by strict parents are likely to understand and respect authority figures and rules into their lives.

Children raised by strict parents are often be responsible; strict parents often hold their children accountable for their actions, teaching them how to take responsibilities for their behaviour s and choices they make.

Strict parents are more protective, vigilant in monitoring their children activities ensuring their safety and well-being.

The disadvantages of parents strict behaviour can range from the following:

It creates and anxiety and fear syndrome in children.children raised by strict parents may experience anxiety, fear and feeling of inadequacy due to constant fear of making mistakes.

Strict parents behaviour causes children to lack personal independence, their parents do not give them enough room to explore, learn, make make own decisions, mistakes and corrections, the children would lack independence and personal growth.

Strict parents may find it difficult to maintain an open communication with their children leading to trust issues and understanding

It can also lead to rebellion and radicalism; children raised in a stringent atmosphere may rebel against the rules and boundaries imposed upon them.

What do you feel if you were at the place of such children who have to face strictness?

I would feel constrained and controlled, I would feel not being allowed to make my personal decision and choice, not having my independence in choosing my lifestyle.I would feel stressed and anxious to live up to my parent's hight expectations and rules. I would feel anger and be resentful towards my parents for not providing me a certain level of freedom and trust .

As a Child what do you expect from your parents regarding their behaviour

They should rather find a balance between setting boundaries, rules, be supportive, mentoring and nurturing .Parents should be more empathetic , understanding and supportive of their children's emotional needs while being clear and setting boundaries , and if the parents struggle to find a balance, they may seek the help and guidance of a professional to assist them to find a balance in parental approach.

What are the negative effects of emotional blackmailing?

It leads to emotional manipulation whereby the children victim's emotion and actions would be manipulated through fear, guilt, obligations.

It leads to loss of self-esteem . Being emotionally blackmailed leads to feelings of unwothlessness, self-doubt ,inadequacy

It causes mental problems as continuous emotional blackmailing would result in depression, anxiety , stress as the children victim will struggle with the conflicting demand and expectations of the manipulator.

Constant emotional blackmailing leads to emotion exhaustion as the children victim continue to bow for pressure of meeting demand and expectations of the manipulator

In conclusion while it's important for parents to set boundaries and expectations for their children , overtly strict parenting can have a negative impact on the children's mental health and wellbeing it's important for parents to find a balance in their approach, providing a supportive and nurturing environment for their children to thrive ,seeking professional help and guidance can also be beneficial for parents who are struggling to find the right balance in their parental approach.

Hola!
