Sunday, November 17th, marked the grand finale of our 2024 regional convention held at Mbiokporo Nsit. Sundays are always a highlight of our conventions, and yesterday was no exception. I was spiritually enriched by the insightful presentations from various speakers. Our convention theme, "Declare the Good News," remained at the forefront, as we delved deeper into the significance of spreading and declaring God's good news. Let me take you through the highlights of the convention, as recorded in my diary.

I woke up at 5:00 a.m. to assist my mother in preparing our lunch for the day, a delicious meal of rice. It had been a while since I'd spent quality time cooking with her, and I cherished every moment of it. The experience was not only enjoyable but also created lasting memories. Following our cooking session, we gathered as a family to examine the scriptures, strengthening our spiritual bond. Afterwards, we made our final preparations to depart for the assembly grounds by 7:00 a.m., concluding with a heartfelt prayer led by me.

We arrived at the assembly ground well before the 8:20 a.m. start time for Sunday's convention program. Before making our way to the auditorium, we took a moment to capture some cherished memories. We snapped photos of me and my loved ones, including family members, and the experience was truly heartwarming and enjoyable.

Waiting To Receive My Assignment For The Day

I bid farewell to my family and headed to the attendant overseer's office to receive my assignment for the day. As a volunteer attendant, I was eager to serve in any block A, B, or C, and support the smooth execution of the convention program. Upon arrival, I was assigned to block C. I promptly collected my attendant tag and convention program, and got into position to warmly welcome attendees as they arrived.

MORNING SESSION

Starting The Morning Session With A Song And Prayer

After the 10 minutes music video presentation, the entire congregation stood united, singing the opening song with joyful enthusiasm, offering praise to Jehovah and setting the tone for a spirit-filled day. Following the uplifting song and a heartfelt prayer, the morning session commenced. I listened intently to the thought-provoking presentations from various speakers, gaining valuable insights and perspectives rooted in scripture. The morning session centered around two pivotal themes: emulating the faith of those who trusted in the Good News, and cultivating courage in the face of bad news.

The morning's spiritual discourse was particularly enriching, with valuable lessons drawn from the exemplary faith of Mary, Jesus' earthly mother. Her unwavering trust in the angel's message regarding her miraculous conception, despite being a virgin, was truly inspiring. Her steadfast faith serves as a powerful reminder to me.

I also drew valuable insights from Joseph's prompt obedience to God's warning in a dream, which led him to swiftly protect Jesus from Herod's threats. As proclaimers of God's Kingdom, these accounts reassured me that, despite challenges, a bright future awaits us.

Another valuable takeaways from the convention was learning how to overcome fear when faced with bad news or unexpected life events. I gained practical insights and guidance on how to cultivate courage and resilience in the face of adversity, trusting in God's sovereignty and care.

The spiritual insights I gained that morning were truly nourishing, leaving me feeling spiritually satiated. We transitioned into the Watchtower summary at 10:45 a.m., followed by a refreshing break from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Fried Rice With Chicken	With Soup With Eba

During the break, I had the pleasure of savoring two delicious meals, carefully prepared by loving hands. My mother, with my assistance, cooked a mouthwatering fried rice, while my Christian sister prepared a sumptuous white soup with eba. Both dishes were incredibly tasty, and I relished every spoonful. Although I enjoyed the fried rice on my own, the soup was so plentiful that I shared it with my friends. I was deeply grateful for the kindness and effort of both my mother and sister, and I made sure to express my heartfelt thanks to them.

With 15 minutes to spare before the afternoon session commenced, I seized the opportunity to capture some memorable moments with my friends. We took photos together, and I made sure to save them in my gallery for cherished memories. Those brief moments were truly special, filled with laughter and camaraderie. As the afternoon session drew near, my friends returned to their seats, and I resumed my duties as an attendant, ready to assist with the smooth execution of the program.

AFTERNOON SESSION

The afternoon session commenced with a captivating 10-minute music-video presentation, setting a spirited tone for the audience. We were then invited to join in song, lifting our voices in praise. Following the song, we were treated to a dramatic Bible reading, titled; “There Will Be No Delay Any Longer”. It was skillfully extracted from Revelation chapter 10, verse 6. This powerful presentation offered valuable insights, and I personally gained a deeper understanding of the scripture.

The afternoon session highlighted the urgency of our times, emphasizing that there's no time to delay in proclaiming the good news about God's wonderful works to come. I felt a sense of joy and hope as I listened to the promise of a brighter future, where humanity will live in a world free from death, sickness, and hunger.

This message of hope is too good not to share. That's why I'm eager to spread the word here on Steemit trusting in God's promise as recorded in Revelation 21:4 which says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore"

The grand finale of the convention was the public talk, "Hold Firmly to the Good News"—Why and How?, delivered by Brother Essien Micah. This thought-provoking discourse provided a fitting conclusion to the day's events. As the convention drew to a close, *we united in song, singing our newly released song. The program concluded with a heartfelt prayer, seeking divine protection for a safe journey home. We wrapped up by 2:30 p.m.

Following the closing prayer, I had the joy of engaging in warm conversations with my fellow Christian brothers and sisters. We also took advantage of the sunny weather to capture some wonderful memories together. The photos, as shown above, turned out spectacularly. I cherished every moment, laughter, and fun shared with my spiritual family. As the day drew to a close, I joined my father in his bus, and we headed home, filled with uplifting spirits and cherished memories.

En route home, my uncle invited us to stop by his house, having prepared a delectable meal for us. Being a self-proclaimed foodie, I eagerly accepted the invitation, and my family joined me. My uncle's hospitality exceeded our expectations, as he warmly served us fried rice accompanied by savory bush meat. Indeed, it was a day filled with spiritual nourishment, delightful food, and heartwarming company. We arrived home in the evening, bringing to a close the uplifting events of Day 3 of our regional convention.
