Hi @abdul-rakib. I'm glad to participate in this unique contest. Before I proceed, I would say, Agriculture is an important investment that anyone that delves into it irrespective of the risks would hardly encounter loss. It's a sweet faculty to dance into.

Now, let's consider the main aim:

What initiatives should the government take to make young people agricultural entrepreneurs?

Going into this operation is a wonderful idea. Young people would love to factor into this if the following is considered as prior by the government:

  • Infrastructure

Nobody would love to go into a broke-system. A broke-system idiomatically reveals certain failures of the government. Situation where awareness of this subject matter is not created, not practice and demonstrated. Instead, a compelling force is drawn towards non-entreprenuerial subjects.

When there's good infrastructure, young people are driven authoritatively to pick up the calling, even if there's a distrust on the capacity of the government. This become bad when young people with non-identical gifts or talents systematically lose interest in the discipline of their discoveries.

  • Create official awareness of Agricultural impacts into Curriculum

Young people would much appreciate this idea if it's introduced as a multidisciplinary course to school curriculum. Agriculture is more on practical, and so the more young people practice this course, the more they become perfect in their making.

  • Rendering of Supports through Grants programs.

One of the common challenge young people do face is the support system. Some of them lack the funds or capital to venture into it. But when this funds are granted through this programs to young people, it encourage them to seat up.

Please tell me in detail which organization helps young people in your area to get financial assistance for agricultural entrepreneurs and what is the interest rate of this loan

Like I said above NGO's — This is a Non Governmental organization. This body is not Government-based, as the name implies, they're private institue, sponsored by various bodies.

If you are a young agricultural entrepreneur, what crop will you initially produce and why?

I would love to venture into Cassava production. Before cassava is form, it passes through various stages, before it get to it height of maturity. With this study, I can be able to observe the kind of gene transfer from the parent plants to the daughter plants. From research, cassava is an energy giving food—giving energy to the body.

I can barely collect the cassava as my sample and then conduct an in-vitro digestibility on it. I would be able to determine the prevalence at which this cassava is broken down from it complexity to a simple nature.

What are the initial challenges as a young agricultural entrepreneur?

  • No capital to start.

I remember undergoing a full time training in Rearing of Broilers. I did the training perfectly and I graduated perfectly. But there was a problem, no money to startup my branch. I wish I had the list thousand then I would've delve into it.

  • Focus

Young entrepreneur lack this ability. They're easily distracted by the waves of what they see. They just want the miracle of wealth to happen immediately. And this will push them into extensive dimensions....

  • Fear.

Some are scared to wear the voice of an entrepreneur. They prefer working under other bodies than been their own bosses.
