Unlike their business counterparts in traditional asset classes, businesses in crypto assets face additional challenges with regards to regulatory compliance. This translates into challenges in anti-money laundering, security and account management.
These challenges have stood in the way of many businesses when embarking on crypto businesses given the scarce resources in manpower and funding. Now that KPMG has introduced a crypto management platform to address these issues, this should somewhat ease the burden of starting a crypto based business and encourage more businesses to enter the market.
KPMG seems to the be first among the Big 4 to have come up with a suite of this type. We can surely expect the others to follow suit soon.
