Ingredients:

  • 2 cups white rice

  • 2 cups water

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 2 lime leaves

  • 1 stalk lemongrass

How ​​to Cook:

First, wash the white rice until clean, then drain

Second, heat the cooking oil in a pan, then saute the bay leaves, lime leaves, and lemongrass until fragrant

Third, add turmeric powder, ginger powder, and salt. Mix well

Four, add the washed white rice, then mix well with the spices

Five, add water, then cook until the water runs out and the rice is cooked

Six, remove and serve warm yellow rice.

  • 1 block of tempeh

  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1/2 tablespoon cooking oil

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 3 cloves shallots

  • 10 cayenne peppers

  • 1 tomato

  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • Cut the tempeh into the desired size

  • Mix salt, granulated sugar, turmeric powder, and coriander powder in a bowl

  • Add cooking oil to the bowl and mix well

  • Put the tempeh pieces in the bowl and mix well until the tempeh is coated with the spices

  • Heat cooking oil in a pan and fry the tempeh until golden and crispy

  • Remove the tempeh fry and drain

  • Grind garlic, shallots, cayenne pepper, and tomatoes until smooth

  • Add sweet soy sauce and water to the mortar and stir well

  • Heat cooking oil in a pan and saute the chili sauce until fragrant

  • Put the fried tempeh in the pan and stir well with the chili sauce

  • Remove and serve the fried tempeh with chili sauce.

Tips From My Mother:

  • Make sure to use fresh and good quality tempeh

  • Don't forget to add sweet soy sauce and water to the chili sauce to give it a more distinctive taste
