I have a small beautiful garden at my home in Baddegama, Sri Lanka. Even my garden is quite spacious, it is filled with beautiful flowers, herbs and plants. It provides me an opportunity to grow fresh fruits and vegetables without using any pesticides or insecticides. Not only that my garden is a home to various kind of creatures like birds, squirrels and many insects.

My garden is the favorite relaxing spot for me. Because it treats my eyes and mind when I am in a stress or busy schedule. There is a beautiful manmade pond filled with aquatic plants and flowers in my home garden. As well as there are certain kind of fish live inside the tank. Every morning and evening I feed them, I do this very happily. I love to look at them in my free time.

Sometimes bees are coming to suck nectar from lotus flowers in the pond. It's a very beautiful scenery to see in a morning. There are lots of flower plants in my home garden such as orchids, nil katarolu, zinnia, anthurium, hibiscus, rose and many other unknown beautiful flowers plants. They add beauty to my home garden.

Moreover having a garden in the house gives many health benefits. There are many home grown herbal plants such as Aloe Vera, turmeric, ginger, curry leaves and etc. I enjoy growing these plants in my home garden as a hobby and it saves our money. These herbs can use to make recipes and home remedies.

When it comes to trees there are many trees grow in my home garden. They give shades and many benefits. Growing trees contribute towards making the earth more green. There are red palms trees in my home garden add wonderful beauty to the nature. Not only that there are coconut trees also which provides coconut for our own consumption.

There are many home grown fruits and vegetables also in my garden even it has a limited space. There are fruits and vegetables such as pine apple, papaya, guava, mango, banana, brinjals, ladies fingers, green leaves, chilies, tomatoes and etc. I can get fun of gardening while having healthy foods to the table. Because that only come through homegrown harvests.

My pet cat also love to spend time and play with me in the home garden. She chases on little birds, squirrels and lizards and climbs trees also. Ha haaa... I can found many little creatures there like snail and little insects. These days birds are coming to bath water from our pond because of hot weather.

My home garden is the best place in the house because it refreshes my mind and I can enjoy birds singing and cold breeze there. I'm very happy take part in this contest by @prasadi and I'm thankful to you having this lovely contest. That's all about my home garden and hope you'll enjoy my entry.
