A Sinhala movie with a non-Sinhalese speaker

My academic life is a constant marathon of covering prescribed reading, dramas and movies. A one milestone in that marathon that I should reach is the new Sinhala movie "Gaadi" which has created quite a sensation among the audience. As a reaction to the excitement that it had raised, we were also expected to watch the movie and write a review on it which was something that didn't make me excited. However, it didn't come with any option, so we scheduled a time to keep up with the marathon.

My only relief was my companion whose options are not zero but minus because she doesn't speak much Sinhala. Adding to her torture, I had the luxury to tease her by telling that there won't be any subtitles which was not the case. However, I had to interpret certain things to her even amidst the subtitles but her frequent inquiries started to decline when she noticed that I was growing impatient and annoyed.... jokes apart. She was asking question after question to which I'm equally confused about. She selected her questions carefully after realizing I'm equally hopeless about certain historical factors in the movie.

I'll keep aside writing about the movie here because I anyway have to write 3-4 pages about that. But to sum up it with one sentence, "Now I know why it created such a sensation among the audience."

Is that worth to watch ?

It's good actually. You should watch it if you are interested.

I watched it. I didnt like the end, but it's a good movie. Sajitha and da new actress had done a great job there!

plotline-wise I'm not a fan of the movie either. But in the sense of expression and deliverance it has done a very pretty decent job.
