What we missed, we gave them 💖

We were the batch that already got into the third year in uni but couldnt be there in our first two years. So we missed many things in our uni life, one such thing was freshers' meet. Universities were closed just two days away from freshers' meet.

Freshers' meet are usually for the first year undergraduates. But our uni gave chance for the second year students to participate to freshers' meet as well, since the met couldn't held for two respective years. In that scenario also, we were the unlucky ones. All the others could get their chance in participating in freshers' meet at one point of their uni life except us. But we got the opportunity to organize the meet.

As first steps, we made banners to I from the junior batches about the meet and motivate them to take part in it. When the due date arrived, we- captains came early into the ground do the preparations. We were so happy to see that it's not only us four who had come for the preparations, but old captains from senior batches (some had even passed out from the uni) had also come. Me and senior akka were in charge of documentation work including the registration, arranging performance sheets, finalizing results sheets etc. Etc it was pretty hectic once the juniors started to come. Some were asking about events, some were there for Registrations, judges were asking about next events, my partner was asking about where I kept a particular sheet at the same time I needed to spy on new talents to join them into our team. It was chaotic. I felt like my brain as divided into so many tiny parts.

We could finally take a break when the games stopped for lunch break. We joined captains and old captains to eat, but as soon as I sat to eat I got a message that a judge was searching for me to ask for a document. Hungry me had to go back to NY table again. But that sir was really good he had found the document himself after hearing that I had gone for lunch. He asked me to join others to eat after seeing me. I was obviously, readily listened to that.

Rest of the events ended with the same hectic manner as the first half, but everything ended in a good note. We were kind of sad that we missed the opportunity to participate into a freshers' meet. But we were happy that we could organize one for our juniors after two years. We came back hone with lots of experiences as this was the first event we contributed to after starting our captainship.
