Stamp Collection | 5% for SL-Charity

Everyone has hobbies. I remembered in our little ages when someone asks about the hobbies we used to say regular hobbies. Such as reading books, collecting stamps, dancing, etc. However, one of my hobbies become collecting stamps. It starts like this.

Actually, this starts my brother. He used to collect stamps. Since my father is a superintendent, he received lots of letters then my brother is started this. Then I used to support him. When the postman came to our house my brother and me run to get it. Then we open the letter and give it to our father and after that, we get the stamp. Since we both are little then we used to get it by hard without using any technique. Actually some times its damaged the stamp.

When I went to school, I collected some removing letters from classrooms and offices and get their stamps. I asked from my friends and sometimes I shared stamps with other friends. Another way I collected stamps is, when I went to our relations homes for visiting then I collected stamps. Not only that I have joined to stamp club then used to buy some stamps. But with time I reject it because the fun is collecting stamps that have the posted seal. Because we can buy stamps for my money at any time but collecting stamps from real letters is another thing. It needs effort and when seeing that collection it brings happiness.

I have joined the people’s bank as a trainee banking assistance before I have joined university. Then it becomes a great opportunity for me to collecting stamps. Because these days are so different than past. Usually, we used to give a phone call to inform something to anyone. But in the past mobile phones or land phones are very rare. When we want to give some messages most of the time, we had to use a letter. So, these days doing this kind of hobby is really difficult but I think due to that it gives more pleasure. So, I collected lots of the latest stamps from the bank.

I think up to now our collection has more than 3000 stamps. Some stamps are for some people, some of them are about animals, sports, paintings, some of them are special because they are release for some special days. Some stamps seem very similar. Their picture is the same but the price of that stamp is different. That kind of collection is with us. Some stamps belong to some collection. There are butterfly collection stamps, waterfall, birds.

When seeing a letter always my eye used to look at its stamp. I still continue my hobby. Actually, this is so fun.
