What did SSL Bring to Me | 5% to SL Charity

Steem Sri Lanka is celebrating its 1st year anniversary. I am very much glad to be there from the beginning. I told my side of the story from the beginning from my first post. Came a Long Way Here With Steem Sri Lanka by @sandu 💟 Now I am going to tell you the things that I achieved and earned with SSL.

I should say, there are a lot of physical and non-physical things that I achieved by joining this amazing platform. I told half of things from my first post. Here I am going to tell you about physical things mostly. Before that, I would like to say that I got a team like a family from SSL. I am not using the word family just as a word but with its real meaning. Now let's see what I earned here.

New Business | The Pulun Castle | The පුළුන් Castle

This is our very first business. I wrote about this before. Introducing My Family Business to Steemit | The පුළුන් Castle | The Pulun Castle | Customized Cotton Products and Say Hello to "The පුළුන් Castle" | Our First Business. We had an idea of initiating a business but could not as me and my sister @dasuni did not have enough capital for this. It was hard as we both were in the university and our brother was still schooling.

But the money that we got as rewards helped us to work on our idea and now we own a family business. Yet it is a small scale one, but I am sure that we can do more with the knowledge that we have on process and manufacturing thanks to our degree. I will share future updates with you all once we achieved them.

Renovations in Home and Roof

We are living in my mother's parent's home and we have 5 members in our family. This howe was built before around 50 years and that need to be renovated with time. We were postponing this time to time as it has a lot of rooms and the roof was quite complex in shape. But during this year's first few months, I and my sister could repair and renovate it with the help of my parents. Most of the costs were covered with the money that we earned from steemit. So, SSL has helped me with this. We Restored Roof With Sheets Yet Heart Prefers Clay Roof Tiles. Thanks to SSL we are safe under this roof.

Father's Surgery

My father was diagnosed with a block in the left anterior descending(LAD) artery and doctors informed us that it needs to go for a PCI to LAD as soon as possible. In any family, the father is the one who carries all the burdens. No difference here. Something that happens to him means all the members of the family have to suffer. But thanks to SSL and Steemit, we could go for the stenting soon and now he is in a better health condition. Again, I am thankful for SSL.

Buying Kitchen Items

We wanted to make different types of foods especially in the time that we were stuck into homes. My sister and I did not want to bother parents for what we needed additionally. But we could buy many items like an oven, a beater, cake items, porcelain items She Smiles, I Smile🥰 | It is my Mother's Birthday and other small items that need for the kitchen. With the help of them, we could try many new dishes. All the additional food items that were needed for these dishes were bought from the money that we earned here. We are good in baking and cooking thanks to this again. 😉

I think this is enough for you to understand what SSL and steemit mean for me. I could have been in huge trouble if I did not find this platform. I am thankful to @randulakoralage and my friend Harith for introducing this platform. And I am thankful to the SSL family for helping us in each and every step here.
