When we hear these types of words, usually we smile or if you are a "බයියා", you'll get angry. 😂But what we should really do these days is.. do things that relax our pocket. And that's what we did in our backyard..

So, as I brought you a week ago, we planted many types of vegetable seeds and something I really like is Long Beans.. So first, we selected the best plants from the seed plot. Almost all plants were good. So, we planted the most of it.

Now, the plants a big. And they have crops on them. Flowers are there too. Those flowers will turn into something beautiful within a few days. Our soil is fertile enough so we don't apply any chemical fertilizers. When we make the bed for the plantation, we added compost so they're enough for plants.

The type of Long Beans we've planted is not the usual type we see. The usual type we eat is "පොළොං මෑ". They are thick and short. But this type, it's lean and long. And it has a red hook type of part at the end of the crop. My mother said that she had seen this type at a younger age. So, this is not a new species after all..

Now, the plants are in their best days.. So many flowers.. so many crops.. Because of less rain, what we only do is supply water for the plants. And for that, we are given its crop.. Since it's too much for us, we share it with our neighbors. Also, didn't forget to dry some riped crops for future plantations..
