Health is the greatest gift and the greatest wealth. One can understand this value when he/she faces the odd time of diseases. Even if we know all the facts and truth about health, we still don't care until we get diseased.

Anyway, this post is the 2nd part of food nutrition. In this part, we will learn about few facts about Vitamin A.

It is a fat-soluble compound that is an essential ingredient for our better health. Its main work is to provide a proper vision, function our immune system, proper growth and cell development of the baby's body inside the womb.

Vitamin A also called beta carotene. It's just a usable form of beta carotene. Our body can convert beta carotene into vitamin A as our body's requirement.

Vitamin A deficiency can reduce our vision or night blindness, weaken the immune system. It can also cause dry eyes, and skin, measles, high risk for baby during pregnancy of women, etc diseases.

We do not get vitamin A from plant sources rather we get beta carotene. Fruits like mango, watermelon, papaya, red grapefruit, guava, etc contain a lot of precursors from vitamin a that is beta carotene.

Some vegetables like carrot, spinach, broccoli, most likely green leafy vegetables, etc contain vitamin A.

Therefore if we want to avoid vitamin A deficiency then we must take foods that contain vitamin A.
