On like the normal snail this particular one looks smaller in size. In my local dialect it is call “NKORIKO” it can be used to replace periwinkle in your soup it also taste like periwinkle itself.

Firstly you break them out of their shell especially if it is for soup. After that you use “ALUM” it is a white piece of rock it is used in washing out the slimy substance like saliva that comes out of the snail.

After that your rinse thoroughly with clean water and ensure it no longer slimy, you can’t eat it if it’s still slimy. Use a knife to open it mouth (the part it uses for crawling)because it will closed the moment you take it out of it shell and apply alum.

Put it in a bowl and apply your ingredients such as maggie, pepper, and onions mix it well the proceed to put a small pot on the fire and red oil after heating up the pot then you can pour in your seasoned snail stir for 30min.
