Season greetings fellow steemitians and welcome to my blog where I will be attempting to answer the questions raised about if I were to be steemcurator01. It is an enticing topic and many users always wish to receive votes from SC01 account.

At times, seeing a notification from SC01 is exciting and I remember my early days on Steemit how my fellow country steemians when they receive votes from SC01 account, they screenshot and bring to the WhatsApp group😂😃. It was like a motivation for others to also work hard in order to also receive SC01 votes.

Come to think of it if you were SC01, quite exciting right😃😃😃. But the truth is the job is not as simple as everyone is expecting votes. It takes time, patience, focus, and a lot of reading to be able to do a great job. Let's ride on to see if I were to be SC01 that almost everyone is expecting support from.

What would you do if you were the operator of the steemcurator01 account?

It is the wish of all to receive support from this particular account. However, the truth is that everyone cannot benefit from this single account and be satisfied. Some users only wish to receive votes and power down to cash out. If I was to handle this account, I will not further support those who frequently cash out.

I will be objective in using the account while putting in mind the rules and regulations governing the steemit platform in general.

Handling this account also entails lots of responsibilities which might at some points interfere with my work offline. I will have to sacrifice lots of my commitments to be able to tackle the responsibilities bestowed on me diligently.

I will have a special laptop dedicated only to the usage of the SC01 account. To avoid any mistakes use the account thinking it's my account I am operating.

What would be your criteria for selecting an author's publication and rewarding it?

The first criterion to select a post to receive support from this account will be based on the reputation of the steemian. Only those with a reputation of at least 60 will receive votes. This is because they must have mastered how the platform works and can write quality content.

Secondly, the author should not be cross-posting the same content on other platforms.

The author must comply with the rules of no plagiarism, use copyrighted free images, the content should be at least 300 words and apply a reasonable amount of markdown.

Authors with original images of high quality will be rewarded especially with regards to my town in 10 pics.

Comments will be rewarded to attract more interactions on posts, especially comments contributing to the build-up of the article they are commenting on.

Authors publishing at least 5 posts a week, will be selected for support.

Notwithstanding, during curation, I might come across some quality content from authors with low reputations but are consistently posting. I will support such content to encourage them to stay consistent.

What type of content would you dedicate more percentage of votes to it?

This will be based on the author's reputation and the quality of the write-up. However, I will consider authors with raw talent first to be awarded a high percentage of votes to. When I talk about raw talent, I mean content on arts and crafts, the diary game, food, photography, etc.

Also, educative content with good demonstrations using quality images will be considered for higher votes.

Nonetheless, priority will be given to authors with original and quality content.

How would you ensure that the potential of the curated account is maximized?

There is a saying that when you want to fail then do not plan. The first thing I will do to maximize the account will be to come out with a weekly planner. This is to make sure I do not overcarry my activities offline and mixed up with the activities on the platform using the SC01 account.

I will make sure voting manna does not go below 80%. This will allow the account to recharge fully for use the following day. I will also ensure that the account VP does not idle at 100.

Each time I am done using the account, I will set the alarm to remind me of the time when the account is fully charged at 100.

How many people would operate the account to make it work properly?

To avoid situations where a single person handling the account might fall sick or in situations beyond control, the account should be managed by at least 4 persons. This way, in case one person is not available, the others can come to cover up.

This will also depend on the availability of the 4 members. Take for instance vacation periods, some might want to take some time off for leisure. So, the members can be rotated based on their availability to work.

Would you disclose your identity or prefer anonymity.

It is a big NO as I would like to remain anonymous to avoid unnecessary issues. My experience with the community curators where a day hardly passed by without users tagging me unnecessarily. Then I can imagine if they knew I was handling the SC01 account.

For security reasons, I would not reveal my identity to avoid being attacked by arm robbers. Revealing your identity to users you do not know anything about them is a potential risk of being attacked physically one day.

Conclusion

In sum, handling the SC01 account requires a lot of commitment. And I think the present team can testify to this point. Is like someone opening his company and entrusting all his finances under your care and everyone in the company is looking up to you. It is easy to criticize those handling the account but until you are allowed to operate the account before you would realize that your criticisms were not necessary.
