The Fire seemed to have had a mind of its own.
It's Very odd how it burned in alot of areas, but firefighters held their ground and saved alot of homes and saved the lake town. But everything outside of these areas is just black.
They are letting the fires burn out in the back country.
We are so relieved to see it with our own eyes.
It smells like burnt pine and camp fire every where.
Even spots are still burning and smoldering.
It's not as bad in some areas as we thought.
And We are so very happy and thankful. π
This doesn't mean it's not bad. It looks like a different place driving around up there.
But the community is strong and life is slowly going back to normal, what normal we have left at least.
Keep looking up and be thankful for all we have.

We are in a better state of understanding how these types of events can change things over night and what it takes to go through something so mind bending in nature.
