Hi Steemians! Today I decided to delve into a unique diary with a caption:
How to Cook Green Leaf Soup
Using the following ingredients:
Green leaf, stockfish, smoke fish, crayfish, dry fishes, Grinded Egusi, Palm oil, onions, dry pepper or fresh pepper, star maggi, salt and water.
Sliced green leaves
Fishes, stockfishes
Palm oil
Crayfish and Salt
Pepper and crayfish
Preparations
Wash the green leaf and slice it into pieces
Steam the stockfish so that they become chewable. Discard the supernatant and keep the steamed stockfish.
Wash the smoke fish and dry fishes with water and discard the waste.
Grind Crayfish
Grind the Egusi
Chopped onions.
How to cook it:
Put the clean pot on fire and add palm oil, add small teaspoon of salts, stir it.
Add the grinded Egusi and stir until an odour persist. Add water and stir. Allow it to cook for 5 minutes.
Add smoke fish, dry fishes and stock fish. Stir it and leave it for 2 minutes.
Add crayfish, pepper, onions and maggi. Stir everything together and allow it to cook for 5 minutes. While cooking, observe if the mixture is lacking water (that is if it's slurry). Add some water and stir.
After 5 minutes
- Add Green leaf and cover the pot for 1 minutes (don't boil the green leaf too much). After that, stir everything together.
The Soup is ready
Wow! Delicious 😋
Morals
Do not put Green leaf at the beginning of the cooking. This is to enable fresh taste.
Fry the Egusi in Palm oil first until you obtain a smell before you add water. If you do not perceive a smell, and you add water and other ingredients, you may end up preparing poison for your health because it will purge you.
Do not add onions at the beginning. Onions helps to suspend the sweet aroma for a longer time.
In conclusion, if you can take time to cook this soup accordingly, you would ever love to take part in any of my cooking diary here
I invite @bossj23, @ngoenyi and @patjewell to enjoy my soup.
