DOGE is clearly a joke, or is it?

Elon Musk has sent the DOGE coin soaring a number of times over the years and a couple times recently where the price has soared on a simply tweet from Elon.

Elon himself has responded recently saying that his tweets about DOGE are just a joke.

But are they really?

In an interview yesterday he postulated that crypto may be the future of currency, and how funny would it be if that future was a currency that was created as a joke.

Say what?

That doesn't exactly sound like he believes DOGE is only a joke.

Well perhaps he believes it is, but that doesn't mean it always will be.

That means those talking heads on CNBC and other places looking down on people for buying DOGE can shut their traps.

For all they know it could be the future of payments, Elon said so!

That being said, he did somewhat contradict his thoughts about crypto being the future of money a few minutes later.

Saying he wasn't entirely sure and not to bet the farm.

Though I think for anyone listening, that very clearly is his safe harbor just in case someone loses money and tries to blame him for giving financial advice etc.

Perhaps DOGE isn't just a joke after all, or perhaps it is. We still don't know.
