The land is green and bountiful but MAN refuses to share it with his fellow MAN. My words may not do justice the souls whose voices has been taken from them in a bid to threaten, and silence the masses, in a bid to recover the veil that has blinded us from seeing the wrongs and the injustice been done to us.
The sky is blue and endless but MAN refuses to let his fellow MAN join him to look upon and ponder on the vastness and beauty of the world. Instead MAN chooses to hoard the sky and prevent his fellow from ever leaving the depths.
I am a Nigerian whose evening has been dulled and bloodied form the injustice that has been done to us. I am a Nigerian who is now afraid for his own life because I chose to go out and take a stand against a ruler I voted into office. I am a Nigerian who pays his taxes but is being shot at by people whose salaries are being paid from my taxes. I am a Nigerian youth whose education is riddled with holes because those in power see the education sector as a means to make money for themselves rather than as a means to better the future of the nation.
The Land is green and bountiful, The Sky is blue and vast, and Man must learn to share it with his fellow or Man will lose it all.
