Are there any things that you wish you knew before becoming a parent?

One thing that I wish I knew before becoming a parent was how to effectively communicate with my children. Do not ever find fault with them without knowing the full facts. Often children get punished for faults of others or for simply being framed by other scheming children.

Another thing is that it's important to set good examples for them, and to be there for them when they need you.

Finding time for themselves and managing their emotions will be challenging when parenting and can be overwhelming or difficult.

Although parents would have had some idea of the challenges and difficulties, they may not have anticipated the extent of the challenges and difficulties.

What advice would you give to other parents?
